Overview

Performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft electrical systems maintenance. Carries out directives from the Supervisor in support of the maintenance team and unit operations.

Will also be responsible for

1. Perform inspection, repair, troubleshooting, and testing of aircraft and equipment electrical systems in accordance with applicable technical publications, applicable regulations, and company and local policies and procedures. Assists in ensuring aircraft and equipment are maintained in a high state of mission readiness.

2. Complete all forms, records, and documents recording aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with DA PAM , applicable technical publications, applicable regulations, and company and local policies and procedures.

3. Impart the knowledge of duties and responsibilities in such a manner (advice, support, and On the Job Training to customer trainees) to permit assimilation into the workforce; the final aim being to enable the customer's technicians to attain gradual full capacity to carry out self sufficient aircraft electrical repair capability.

4. Carry out all assigned tasks by the Supervisor in support of the maintenance team and unit operations.

Experience

We currently have a vacancy to join a leading provider of comprehensive aviation services based in the Middle East, as a Workshop Technician – Avionics. The role will be based in Abu Dhabi and offers a full relocation package for the successful candidate.

The company specialises in delivering customised aviation maintenance, repair, overhaul, logistics and supply chain services to military and civil aviation customers across the region. Whilst their head office is based in Abu Dhabi, they have a number of operational facilities across various UAE military bases and aviation sites. The company plays a key role in supporting the UAE Armed Forces and other regional air forces. They support a wide range of both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft including military helicopters such as Black Hawks, Chinooks and Apaches as well as transport aircraft such as C130 Hercules. Their services include line and base maintenance, avionics, airframe and engine repair and comprehensive logistical support.

The Workshop Technician – Avionics will accomplish aviation unit and intermediate maintenance inspections services, and repairs on all the instruments and avionics systems on the aircraft. Carries out directives from the Supervisor.

Main Responsibilities:

• Repairs, replaces, and performs operational/functional tests on instruments, radios, navigation and aircraft flight control equipment, stabilization systems, avionics systems.
• Troubleshoots equipment and traces avionic equipment wiring harnesses using technical manuals and schematic drawings to diagnose and isolate faults and effect repairs. 3
• Diagnose malfunctions using special and common hand tools, test measurement and diagnostic equipment.

Job Description:

As an Air Arabia Maintenance Technician, you will be part of a skilled team responsible for performing Avionics Maintenance tasks on large commercial aircraft. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Avionics Maintenance Tasks: You will assist the Engineer in reviewing assigned task cards to understand work requirements, priorities, documentation needs, and cautions.
• Maintenance Work: You will prepare and perform scheduled aircraft maintenance according to assigned task cards, ensuring all necessary documentation, parts, tools, and ground support equipment are obtained and used per issued instructions.
• Aircraft Testing and Inspection: You will conduct aircraft test and inspection tasks to identify and record any defects or damage in accordance with approved maintenance procedures.
