Job Title: Avionics Technician – CH-47

We currently have a vacancy to join a leading provider of comprehensive aviation services based in the Middle East, as a Avionics Technician – CH-47. The role will be based in Abu Dhabi and offers a full relocation package for the successful candidate.

The company specialises in delivering customised aviation maintenance, repair, overhaul, logistics and supply chain services to military and civil aviation customers across the region. Whilst their head office is based in Abu Dhabi, they have a number of operational facilities across various UAE military bases and aviation sites. The company plays a key role in supporting the UAE Armed Forces and other regional air forces. They support a wide range of both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft including military helicopters such as Black Hawks, Chinooks and Apaches as well as transport aircraft such as C130 Hercules. Their services include line and base maintenance, avionics, airframe and engine repair and comprehensive logistical support.

The Avionics Technician – CH-47 performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft electrical systems maintenance. Carries out directives from the Supervisor in support of the maintenance team and unit operations.

Main Responsibilities:

- Perform inspection, repair, troubleshooting, and testing of aircraft and equipment electrical systems in accordance with applicable technical publications, applicable regulations, and company and local policies and procedures. Assists in ensuring aircraft and equipment are maintained in a high state of mission readiness.
- Complete all forms, records, and documents recording aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with DA PAM , applicable technical publications, applicable regulations, and company and local policies and procedures.
- Impart the knowledge of duties and responsibilities in such a manner (advice, support, and On the Job Training to customer trainees) to permit assimilation into the workforce; the final aim being to enable the customer's technicians to attain gradual full capacity to carry out self-sufficient aircraft electrical repair capability.
- Carry out all assigned tasks by the Supervisor in support of the maintenance team and unit operations.

Aircraft Avionics Technicians play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of aircraft systems. We are seeking skilled technicians to join our team, assisting in the performance of avionics maintenance tasks on commercial aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review task cards with engineers to understand work priorities, documentation requirements, and cautions before starting tasks.
  • Perform scheduled aircraft maintenance according to assigned task cards, ensuring required documentation, parts, tools, and ground support equipment are obtained and used as per issued instructions.
  • Carry out aircraft test and inspection tasks to identify defects or damage, adhering to approved maintenance procedures.
  • Repair and replace components as instructed by task cards, following approved data and procedures under the guidance of engineers-in-charge.
  • Ensure proper tooling and equipment are drawn from stores for tasks, returning them in good condition after completion.
  • Regularly report task status to engineers-in-charge, alerting them to any problems with aircraft condition or task execution.
  • Demonstrate high standards of housekeeping in all tasks performed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualified Civil Aircraft Maintenance Technician with experience in performing maintenance on large commercial aircraft, preferably Airbus types.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English for technical communications.
  • Solid understanding of Avionics maintenance theory and practice.
  • Able to obtain UAE Driver's License.
Work Experience
  • At least 2 years' experience in Base Maintenance environment.
  • Good Avionics Maintenance Knowledge and experience.
  • Competent in using specialized Avionics test equipment, computers, and software tools.
