Overview
Performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft electrical systems maintenance. Carries out directives from the Supervisor in support of the maintenance team and unit operations.
Will also be responsible for
1. Perform inspection, repair, troubleshooting, and testing of aircraft and equipment electrical systems in accordance with applicable technical publications, applicable regulations, and company and local policies and procedures. Assists in ensuring aircraft and equipment are maintained in a high state of mission readiness.
2. Complete all forms, records, and documents recording aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with DA PAM , applicable technical publications, applicable regulations, and company and local policies and procedures.
3. Impart the knowledge of duties and responsibilities in such a manner (advice, support, and On the Job Training to customer trainees) to permit assimilation into the workforce; the final aim being to enable the customer's technicians to attain gradual full capacity to carry out self sufficient aircraft electrical repair capability.
4. Carry out all assigned tasks by the Supervisor in support of the maintenance team and unit operations.

-Federal Communications Commission (FCC) license or industry equivalent. High School Diploma, Graduation from military or commercial aircraft maintenance school or course required.
- Must be able to attain a UAE Driving License.
Experience
-Minimum of 6 Years Aircraft Avionic or Electrician - Aviation Maintenance
- Minimum of 3Years Electrical repair on aircraft type.
- Must have thorough knowledge in the use of common tools, special tools, test equipment, and aviation ground support equipment used in performing maintenance on the relevant aircraft.

We currently have a vacancy to join a leading provider of comprehensive aviation services based in the Middle East, as a Workshop Technician – Avionics. The role will be based in Abu Dhabi and offers a full relocation package for the successful candidate.
The company specialises in delivering customised aviation maintenance, repair, overhaul, logistics and supply chain services to military and civil aviation customers across the region. Whilst their head office is based in Abu Dhabi, they have a number of operational facilities across various UAE military bases and aviation sites. The company plays a key role in supporting the UAE Armed Forces and other regional air forces. They support a wide range of both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft including military helicopters such as Black Hawks, Chinooks and Apaches as well as transport aircraft such as C130 Hercules. Their services include line and base maintenance, avionics, airframe and engine repair and comprehensive logistical support.
The Workshop Technician – Avionics will accomplish aviation unit and intermediate maintenance inspections services, and repairs on all the instruments and avionics systems on the aircraft. Carries out directives from the Supervisor.
Main Responsibilities:
- Repairs, replaces, and performs operational/functional tests on instruments, radios, navigation and aircraft flight control equipment, stabilization systems, avionics systems.
- Troubleshoots equipment and traces avionic equipment wiring harnesses using technical manuals and schematic drawings to diagnose and isolate faults and effect repairs. 3
- Diagnose malfunctions using special and common hand tools, test measurement and diagnostic equipment.
- Requisition aircraft parts and maintain shop and bench stock for repair of aircraft avionics equipment.
- Inspects and prepares forms and records in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Train host national personnel on the proper maintenance of the avionics/instrument systems.
- Responsible for tools and equipment inventory assigned by the supervisor.
- Responsible for replacing electronic parts on PCB level using soldering /desoldering technics.

About You:
- High School, completion of a formal avionics training course from an accredited military or civilian aeronautical school.
- Knowledgeable on The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) preferable.
- Minimum of 5 Years Must have a minimum of 5 years working with rotary aircraft powertrain systems and subsystems.
- Must have good knowledge of Special Operations mission requirements, equipment and maintenance programs.
- Must have strong program management background with a good understanding of contract law and terminology used in aviation contracts.
- Must have a good working knowledge of all computer applications.
- Must have strong charismatic and delegating attributes.
- Must work well with other departments.
- Must be able to read, write and understand English.
