Strategic Communications Leader

This role drives PR and communications strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, brand positioning, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Develops and implements the PR and communications strategy for both corporate and schools.
  • BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS: builds and maintains strong relationships with key media influencers and stakeholders.
  • Thought Leadership Initiatives: leads executive thought leadership initiatives including speeches, op-eds, interviews, and panels.
  • Crisis Management: manages crisis communications to safeguard the reputation of the organization.
  • Media Monitoring and Reporting: oversees media monitoring, reporting, and analysis of PR effectiveness.
  • Integration with Digital Campaigns: ensures PR is fully integrated with brand digital and social campaigns.
  • Liaison Role: acts as the lead liaison for senior executives with external stakeholders and press.
  • Media Outreach: drives positive media coverage to position the organization as a leader in education and innovation.
  • Training and Support: provides training and support to executives and school leaders in media engagement.

Required qualifications include:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field.
  • 12–15 years experience in corporate communications, media relations or PR.
  • Strong regional media network across UAE and MENASA.
  • Proven track record in managing corporate reputation and thought leadership.
  • Experience in large matrix organisations.
  • UK-enhanced DBS or equivalent police check is a prerequisite for all appointments.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Brand Project Manager with a strong background in international brand management to lead our global brand projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing cross-departmental resources and driving key initiatives, including brand strategy, sponsorships, industry exhibitions, and business collaborations.

The Senior Brand Project Manager will oversee the planning and execution of online brand campaigns and community projects on our official website and APP channels, ensuring timely delivery meeting brand standards.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our team and take on a leadership role in shaping our brand's global presence.

As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for communicating brand-related requirements to the product team, tracking development schedules, and acceptance testing to ensure launch content meets brand standards.

The Senior Brand Project Manager will also be responsible for monitoring market trends and competitor activities to provide strategic recommendations aligned with brand development needs.

Additionally, the candidate will mentor and develop junior project team members, continuously optimizing collaboration processes and team effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of brand projects including planning, execution, monitoring, optimization, and review to ensure strong alignment with brand strategy.
  • Lead the overall planning and cross-team collaboration for key exposure projects such as brand sponsorships, industry exhibitions, and business partnerships.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of online brand activities and community projects on official website and APP channels to enhance user engagement and brand loyalty.
  • Communicate brand-related requirements to the product team, follow up on development schedules and acceptance testing to ensure launch content meets brand standards.
  • Coordinate resources across brand, PR, marketing, product, legal, technology departments, and external partners to ensure smooth project progress.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, quality, and KPIs to ensure efficient execution and delivery of results.
  • Ensure consistent global brand visuals and language standards, strictly following brand guidelines.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to provide strategic recommendations aligned with brand development needs.
  • Produce project documentation efficiently in both Chinese and English and act as a communication bridge between domestic and international teams and partners.
  • Regularly report project progress, key milestones, risk alerts, and outcome summaries to management.
  • Mentor and develop junior project team members, continuously optimizing collaboration processes and team effectiveness.
Requirements:

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Marketing, Brand Communication, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Preferably graduated from 985/211 universities or QS top 100 schools, with overseas study or cross-cultural work experience.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written), with strong cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Over 5 years of experience in brand management or project management, preferably in multinational companies or fast-paced industries.
  • Proven experience leading brand sponsorships, exhibitions, business collaborations, and digital platform (website/APP) projects.
  • Familiar with brand strategy and project management processes; PMP certification preferred.
  • Proficient in office software and project management tools.
  • Strong execution skills, good communication and coordination abilities, with leadership capability.

As a Brand Manager, you will play a key role in localizing and executing global strategies to suit market needs while ensuring strategic alignment with our overall business objectives. You'll work closely with media and creative agencies, trade and expert marketing teams to deliver a cohesive 360-degree brand experience for activations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Localizing and executing global brand strategies to suit market needs;
  • Assisting with end-to-end campaign management from concept creation to execution including ATL and BTL assets, media plans, in-store coordination, shopper marketing, influencer activations, and on-ground events;
  • Working closely with media and creative agencies, trade and expert marketing teams to deliver a cohesive 360-degree brand experience for activations;
  • Supporting Marketing Managers with new product launches and actively contributing in joint planning sessions;
  • Leading artwork process and changes for innovation;
  • Assisting Marketing Managers in developing annual brand plans and outputting clear local activation calendars to attain growth priorities in sales and shares;
  • Leveraging Nielsen/IQVIA and internal data to derive actionable insights about market competitors and consumer behavior, monitor and report brand performance, and share insights with internal stakeholders;
  • Accountable for accelerated share, sales, and profit growth for assigned brand portfolios; owning brand P&L tracking KPIs and optimizing marketing ROI;
  • Ensuring the Brand Heart is brought to life and consistently activated across all touchpoints to build long-term brand equity - responsible for tracking brand equities and recommending remedial action;
  • Modeling Haleon values and behaviors and compliance with all codes of practice;

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field;
  • 3-4 years of experience in brand management ideally with FMCG or consumer healthcare;
  • A proven track record in campaign execution and brand activations;
  • Demonstrated experience in working with Nielsen/IQVIA or syndicated data tools;
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills;
  • Hands-on experience with digital and omnichannel campaigns;
  • Fluency in English and strong communication skills;
