**Structural Inspector - Bridges**
**Abu Dhabi, UAE**
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Conducts tests to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications and may include any of the following: Performs civil and structural tests, such as soil compaction, moisture content, aggregation, graduation, concrete slump, air entrainment, concrete compression, lines and grades surveys, bolt torques, and concrete coring.
+ Performs destructive and nondestructive tests on metals and other materials through magnaflex, dyepenetrant, radiographic, tension and compression, paint thickness, and resistivity.
+ Performs surveillance of underground piping to ensure tightness, bedding, and grade.
+ Inspects and monitors piling installation to ensure location and bearing.
+ Validates piping systems, including P&ID checks and hydraulic or other pressure tests.
+ Inspects electrical installations to ensure proper grounding, circuit integrity, and adherence to statutory and customer regulations.
+ Performs continuing inspection of painting and insulation to ensure thickness and coverage continuity.
+ Provides general inspection on all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship.
+ Verifies equipment alignment and balancing operations. Participates in the development of quality control reports and procedures.
+ Participates in the development of job safety practices and in the preparation of safety reports.
+ May administer welder qualification tests.
+ Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Diploma in Civil Engineering
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in construction supervision of major bridges projects
+ Prior experience working on RTA , MUSANADA , DM , DOT or ADM projects
+ Has knowledge about post piling and post tension slabs
+ Familiar with shop drawings , specifications and standard

**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Perform land/field surveys and geodetic calculations.
+ Interface with client and contractors to determine and verify project survey requirements.
+ Complete the surveying requirements on schedule and within man-hour and cost budgets.
+ Check setting-out and levels. Check services locations and ensure their protection.
+ Prepare sketches to support the field work. Maintain all the survey information (field books, sketches and calculations).
+ Measure work done when required.

+ Knowledge and/or experience in using CAD software and survey software, total station, data collectors and GPS equipment.
+ Working knowledge of construction sequences and standard work procedures of the industry.
+ Good oral and written communication skills.
+ Ability to communicate logically and clearly with management and staff.
+ Commitment to safe work practices.

**What you'll be doing:**
+ Client Representation: Act as the representative of Parsons with the Client/Employer, Construction Supervision Consultants, Contractors, Subcontractors, and Suppliers during project execution. Represent the client in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings.
+ Project Management: Oversee the establishment of the Construction Management Plan, Site Specific Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other required documents.

**Job Description**
AECOM is seeking an experienced Structural Inspector for a major Roads and Bridges project located in Dubai. The role involves both inspection and the supervision of Roads and Bridges works of the project to ensure that the activities are being executed in accordance with the project specification.
**Job Duties**
+ Be familiar with the project's contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures together with any associated updates.
+ Ensure the contractor/s compliance with the standards and specifications of the contract documents.
+ Maintain records of the contractor human and equipment daily resources.
+ Undertake all site supervision and inspections when required or instructed by the Resident Engineer (RE) or the Structural Engineer (SE).
+ Liaise and daily follow up with the contractor. This is to ensure the contractor is managing its resources, health and safety, and equipment needs on the site.
+ Prepare daily report to the RE or SE. This includes works orders, materials delivery, and daily inspections program.
+ Follow up and implement any site instructions made by the RE and SE.
+ Apply and implement all quality controls and quality procedures of the site.
+ Prepare any site measurements and surveying checks needed by the RE or SE for Bridge work & other associated structures.
+ Co-ordinate and co-operate with client project manager during their site inspections in the presence of the RE or SE.
+ Monitor contractor QA/QC activities and maintain relevant records.
+ Assist the SE and RE in the preparation of any correspondences in compliance with the contract documents and site requirements.
+ Where site problems are found, work with the RE or SE to resolve them promptly.
+ Monitor the start-up, commissioning and handover of the site works. Including maintaining records of the project milestones.
+ Maintain records of materials tests performed and executed works.
+ Audit inspections for conformity to contract documents and contractor submitted plans.
**Qualifications**
+ Minimum 7 years of experience within similar projects, with minimum 3 years in UAE.
+ UAE experience is preferred
+ Relevant experience in comparable structural & roads projects
+ Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
+ RTA Approval is preferred

**Structural Design Engineer**
**Abu Dhabi, UAE**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Structural Design Engineer (Bridge and Tunnels)** to join our team! In this role you will get to **perform a variety of engineering tasks by applying standard engineering techniques and analyses within a discipline.**
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Develops and/or supervises the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements.
+ Defining problems, establish the work scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status.
+ Typical products may include detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.
+ Provides support for other engineering activities as required.
+ May supervise one or more subordinates and provide input regarding performance.
+ May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate size project.
+ Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower level Engineers working on the same project.
+ Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
+ Minimum 5+ years experience in structural **design** of different bridges such as **concrete, steel, precast, cast in situ** and **tunnels.**
+ Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages associated with structural modelling, analysis and design typically CSi Bridge, Midas Civil, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, SP column, Bentley RAM connections/elements, Prokon, Autodesk Structural bridge design, Autodesk Revit and Navisworks.
+ Coding and parametric design capabilities using Python, Grasshopper, and C#.
+ Presentation and technical reporting skills.
+ Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) is an advantage.
+ Ability to communicate in English
