Responsibilities- Support GMG’s merchandising efforts within the Sports division to align product assortments, inventory levels, and strategies with market trends and customer expectations.
- Execute merchandising plans to drive sales, profitability, and inventory efficiency.
- Collaborate with buying, planning, and supply chain teams to contribute to commercial goals using market insights, sales data, and consumer trends.
- Manage and curate product assortments aligned with seasonal trends, market demands, and customer preferences to drive sales and profitability.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with supply chain and inventory teams to mitigate stockouts, overstocking, and obsolescence.
- Work with the buying team to select products, ensuring timely and efficient delivery that supports promotional calendars and key retail milestones.
- Generate and maintain reports analyzing merchandising performance using tools to track inventory, sales metrics, and market trends.
- Evaluate sales data to inform future buying and assortment decisions to meet or exceed financial targets.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to manage lead times, negotiate terms when necessary, and resolve delivery issues promptly.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to support product launches, seasonal campaigns, and promotional activities, ensuring cohesive brand representation across customer touchpoints.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the merchandising function and participate in cross-functional projects aligned with GMG’s strategic goals.

- Manage a portfolio of global watch brands, overseeing full brand lifecycle from planning to execution across retail and e-commerce channels
- Serve as the key liaison with brand principals, aligning on product strategy, launches, marketing, and training initiatives
- Analyze global and regional market trends to develop competitive strategies and act as the subject matter expert for the watch category
- Forecast sales, manage budgets, monitor purchases, and ensure pricing consistency across markets
- Oversee product selection, OTB management, inventory control, and liquidation of slow movers to optimize brand performance
- Ensure best-in-class brand presentation in-store through planograms, merchandising, and regular retail audits
- Develop e-commerce strategies and work with travel retail teams to unlock new growth opportunities and elevate brand presence
- 10-12 years of experience in brand management, buying or planning within retail-ideally in watches or related sectors like fashion, FMCG, consumer goods or electronics
- Proven track record managing large-scale brand portfolios and operational processes
- Commercially driven, proactive and entrepreneurial in mindset with a focus on delivering results
- Strong communicator with excellent presentation skills and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Agile and trend-aware with a strong grasp of evolving consumer preferences and market dynamics
- Analytical and insights-led with the ability to interpret data to drive brand strategy and performance
