- Design and review mechanical components, layouts, and systems
- Perform installation, testing, and commissioning of industrial machines
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues in a timely and efficient manner

Programme Details
- Duration: 6 months, full-time (40 hours/week).
- Schedule: Standard Monday-Friday day schedule.
- The programme provides exposure to the skills required for a future full-time Data Center Engineering Operations Technician role. Plesae note a Full-time role may involve shifts, weekends, and on-call rotations.

Key job responsibilities
The Engineering Operations team are AWS's front-line responders for hands-on troubleshooting and operations of critical infrastructure. As a Trainee, you will:
- Assist in maintaining and operating mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Support root cause analysis of equipment failures.
- Help troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
- Take daily operational readings of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Use our internal CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to manage workflows.
- Work alongside third-party vendors and contractors onsite.
- You will work with equipment that supports mission-critical servers, including but not limited to: diesel generators, switchgear, UPSs, PDUs, air handling units, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems.
Physical Requirements:
- Working at heights and from ladders.
- Regularly lifting/moving up to 22kg (49lbs) unassisted, and participating in group lifts for heavier loads.
- Using hands to handle and manipulate small tools, wires, and objects.

Job OverviewThe Project Engineering Manager manages and develops overall Project execution methodologies with respect to the project deliveries together with the Project Management. Ensures interdisciplinary interfaces are working flawlessly. Interacts with Heads/Managers of Engineering Disciplines in order to meet the project KPIs; safety, gross margin, schedule, and quality requirements set by the Company and its Customers in project deliveries. Leads the project estimates in the bidding phase, manages and develops lessons learned and feedback process throughout the sales–delivery–sales process. Assures seamless take-over of project delivery from sales and seamless hand-over of project delivery back to sales.

Responsibilities and Duties- Competent at managing and leading a multi-discipline Engineering Team
- Experienced in managing High-Value execution centers
- Experienced in complex Project Scope management and contract management
- Familiar with project work sequence, activities, and deliverables for Engineering Disciplines at any project phase with knowledge and understanding of a contract
- Overall ownership of the engineering schedule and progress of each engineering discipline
- Ensures the project Quality Management System supports deliverables preparation and method of execution
- Understands and manages the Technical Engineering Disciplines and associated Scope
- Ensures instructions are issued to allow work to progress and facilitates agreement between conflicting requirements and leads way forward
- Able to challenge working method and deliverables and ensures the project team know and comply with the project scope
- Develops and manages the engineering input to the project schedule and drives the Engineering Team to comply with the requirements, meet milestones and Key Performance Indicators
- Ensures that requirements for Design Verification are identified, scheduled, and resourced
- Implements a robust change management process and delineates same to the Engineering team ensuring engineering work remains within the approved basis and changes to it are fully managed through the process before progressing to execution
- Understands the project Health, Safety, Environment, and Security (HSES) issues and ensures these are handled correctly
- Identifies risks and implements mitigations
- Has the ability to deputize for the Project Manager as and when required.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Energy & Environment objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- Experience in Engineering for major Oil and Gas projects, including significant work in the downstream sector, for a minimum of 18+years
- Experience in Engineering Management for major projects for a minimum of 10 years
- ADNOC and GCC experience will be advantageous
- Engineering Management experience, with some site experience
- Have extensive experience in Oil and Gas industry (Downstream / Onshore)
- Have a proven track record in Engineering Management and leading multi-discipline engineering teams
- Be commercially astute and understand the different approaches required to manage fix price lump sum and reimbursable work
- Have a broad technical knowledge combined with excellent leadership skills
- UAE local experience is added value.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent in the English language
