We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented perfusionist to join our client's team in Abu Dhabi. This role is based within one of the UAE's largest government-affiliated healthcare networks, recognized for its advanced cardiac care and cutting-edge surgical services.
The Perfusionist will be responsible for operating and managing cardiopulmonary bypass machines and other extracorporeal circulation equipment during open-heart surgeries and related procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide safe, high-quality support to surgical teams.
- Operate and monitor cardiopulmonary bypass machines and other extracorporeal circulation equipment during cardiac surgeries.
- Manage blood flow, oxygenation, and temperature regulation to maintain patient stability during surgical procedures.
- Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, and operating room staff.
- Prepare, calibrate, and maintain perfusion equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes during procedures.
- Handle blood conservation techniques, hemodilution, and anticoagulation management.
- Document procedures and maintain accurate records in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Stay updated on the latest perfusion techniques, safety protocols, and medical advancements.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and quality assurance policies.
- Bachelor's degree in Perfusion Technology or a related medical field.
- Valid certification/license in Perfusion (UAE DOH/DHA/MOH or eligibility to obtain one).
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience as a Perfusionist in a hospital or cardiac surgical setting.
- In-depth knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and extracorporeal circulation.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills with perfusion equipment.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure surgical environments.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and patient-care skills.
