The Catering Specialist provides technical support and detailed financial input to develop catering concepts of operations for client solutions and bids prepared in response to Requests for Proposals.
The focus is on creating unique catering concepts tailored to the client's requirements, for commercial and military clients in remote areas of the world. Services provided range from construction, catering, and fuels to full O&M and life-support services. Projects vary in size, requiring attention to detail and precision.
The Catering Specialist prepares full menu cycles for various nationalities, including special meals and events, and creates layouts for kitchen and dining facilities. He develops meal registration systems, food storage concepts, and stock management systems for remote camps. Additionally, he develops:
- Equipment lists
- Staffing plans and organization charts
- Shift rosters and rotations
- Catering-specific training plans
He develops mobilization plans, SOPs for catering services, customer service plans, and contract/project management solutions. He is responsible for cost planning and estimating for all catering services, kitchens, DFACs, equipment, personnel, training, uniforms, PPE, etc. He creates assessment plans and develops team structures.
The Catering Specialist provides leadership on food safety, health and safety, HACCP, ISO 9001 principles, and international standards.
Experience:
- 10 years' experience in remote-site oil & gas catering operations
- Onshore and offshore camp operations experience desirable
- Mobilizing new contracts in various territories
- Operational experience in Africa, Eurasia, the Far East, or Australasia
- Catering qualification
Background and character:
- English educated, with good writing skills
- Attention to detail
- Flexible and adaptable to changing requirements
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify client drivers
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

Support the delivery of catering system benefits by operating all system components/modules from data entry to processes for all setup functions in liaison with respective subject matter experts (SMEs). Requirements
- Degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline with knowledge of catering systems procedures and modules.
