As a Graduate Project Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting all commercial activities throughout the pre and post contract phases of construction projects.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Assisting Quantity Surveying staff in the **Infrastructure Team** on both pre-contract and post-contract deliverables.
+ Undertakes responsibilities under the supervision of a more senior Project Surveyor
+ Completes the measurement of quantities for input into cost plans, cost estimates and bills of quantities
+ Assists with the preparation of tender documentation
+ Assists with viability studies and cost estimates
+ Assists with implementing, maintaining and monitoring cost control procedures throughout the duration of a project
+ Assists with providing necessary input related to financial claims

**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements**
1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University.
2. Candidates must be recent 2024 or 2025 graduates to be eligible for AECOM's Graduate Program.
3. Successful applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of 2.8 (or equivalent) and above.
4. **As part of AECOM's commitment to Emiratisation and in compliance with UAE labour law, only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.**

With some of our exciting launches such as Burj Azizi (the second tallest tower in the world), Monaco Mansions and Azizi Venice – Dubai's new luxurious Venetian-inspired waterfront community, we are rapidly expanding our capabilities in our Design 360 Studio, where our team seamlessly integrate Architecture, Structures, MEP, Landscape, Interiors and Supervision to deliver a variety of innovative and value driven real estate assets.
As a Structural Design Engineer working from our Design Studio at the Al Hudaiba Awards office in Dubai, you will have the opportunity manage structural design teams comprising engineers and draftsmen by providing direct supervision, mentoring and overall leadership to the structural design team.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural design tasks including stability analysis, foundation design, and conventional reinforced concrete slabs in compliance with relevant local and international codes. Assist in obtaining approvals from local authorities and municipalities.
- Develop structural design models using industry-standard software and perform manual calculations to evaluate forces, stresses, and strains on structural components (beams, columns, walls, foundations) under various loads such as occupancy, mechanical systems, and environmental factors (temperature variations, wind, seismic).
- Collaborate closely with architects, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders to develop safe and functional designs that align with the project's architectural vision.
- Support the implementation of quality assurance (QA/QC) processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of structural designs and documentation.
- Review and monitor work completed by sub-consultants and specialty engineers, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Provide technical support to construction teams and contractors, assisting in resolving any structural issues during the construction phase to facilitate timely project completion.
- Conduct design reviews and checks to maintain high-quality standards as per company guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant structural design experience.
- Experience working on mid to high-rise building projects is preferred.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, PROKON, RAM Concept, ADAPT, or similar tools.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit is an advantage.
