  • Respond to student enquiries related to enrolment, official letters, visas, and academic documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, welcoming, and supportive front-facing student services environment.

  • Provide data for internal reports, audits, and sector regulators including the Office of the Independent Adjudicator.
  • Contribute to the review and development of student policies and best practices.

Candidate Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • English and Maths at GCSE level (or equivalent) (Required)
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience (Required)

Experience:

  • Experience managing sensitive student cases and records in an academic setting (Required)
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a student support, academic services, or administrative role within a higher education environment.
  • Experience handling complex enquiries and providing frontline support (Required)
  • Experience managing casework for student appeals or complaints (Desirable)
  • Experience developing or delivering training to colleagues (Desirable)

The Student Support Services Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that students at the (GSU) receive the necessary support and guidance throughout their academic journey. The coordinator will work closely with students, faculty, and administrative staff to develop and deliver a variety of programs and initiatives that contribute to student success and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Duties:

  • Carries out all duties with a high degree of accuracy, attention and confidentiality
  • Maintain accurate records of student interactions, support services, and outcomes
  • Ensure all student service processes are followed in compliance with university policies
  • Establishes, maintains and updates filing system and records
  • Handles logistics of planned events, such as travel, accommodation, catering, bookings
  • Assists in the preparation of lectures, seminars, and events

Student Orientation and Integration:

  • Should be able to handle correspondence, such as letters, reports, memos, in both Arabic and English

Required Education

Professional Experience

  • Experience in working in a diverse environment
  • The ability to communicate in English and Arabic is essential; knowledge of national culture and traditions is highly desired

Competencies and Skills

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist teacher during lessons.
  2. Prepare the class for lessons.
  3. Assist children in the bathroom and change diapers.
