ESG & Climate Change Manager
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Member of Climate Change & Policies team.
- Manage implementation and documentation of sustainability policies.
- Manage schedules, resourcing, tasks, and quality control for projects.
- Ensure all required reporting for internal and external stakeholders is completed according to applicable frameworks.
- Track and manage the project team’s compliance with applicable policies, standards, and strategies.
- Act as main focal point of contact with clients and project teams.
- Participate in development, update, enhancement, and implementation of Climate Change & Sustainability Policies.
- Apply project management principles: scheduling, resource leveling, effective meetings, client relations.
- Develop technical strategies for energy, carbon, water, and waste management, mitigation, reduction, and neutrality.
- Prepare and deliver technical and promotional presentations.
- Deliver White Papers as required by line managers.
- Support the company in its rapid growth plans.
- Conduct product and technology research.
- Contribute to regional publications, lectures, teaching assignments, speaking engagements, and webinars/seminars.
- Maintain internal KPIs and strive for continuous personal development.
- Open for secondment roles.
- Capable of business travel.
HSE Responsibilities:
- Follow ALPIN’s Integrated Management System and contribute to minimizing individual environmental impact.
- Act within legal responsibilities and comply with the Company’s Quality, Environment, and HSE policies.
Core Skills and Experience:
- 3–5 years of relevant experience (essential)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field
- Strong English (very strong written & spoken)
- Preferred additional language: French, Arabic
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with clients and consultants
- High emotional and social intelligence
- Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams
- Background in built environment sector
- Working knowledge of MEP, construction management, and design
- Experience on at least 5 sustainability consultancy projects
- Knowledge of current climate change issues, protocols, and carbon accounting (GHG Protocol)
- Familiar with net zero strategies and associated standards
- Knowledge of current sustainability standards: LEED, Al Sa’fat, Estidama, Mostadam, BREEAM
- Preferred or commitment to achieve LEED AP, Estidama, BREEAM, or other relevant certifications
- UAE experience
- Excellent planning, organizational, and self-management skills
- Strong communication skills (written, electronic, spoken)
- Hands-on engineering and project management skills (PMP preferred)
- UAE driver’s license and personal transportation
- Passport for regional travel
Key Experience:
- GHG Assessment Experience: Conducted GHG emissions assessments or carbon footprint studies; experience supporting or developing net zero strategies; familiarity with Scope 1, 2, 3, SBTi, and Science-Based Targets
- ESG Advisory & Reporting Experience: Worked on ESG strategies, materiality assessments, or sustainability reporting (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD)
- Climate Risk Assessment: Contributed to or conducted climate risk or vulnerability assessments
- Green Building / Sustainable Design Knowledge: Familiarity with LEED, BREEAM, or other sustainable building certifications
- Analytical & Modelling Skills: Experience using carbon accounting tools or modelling platforms (Excel-based tools, OpenLCA, OneClick LCA)

As a Graduate Engineer in the Renewable Energy sector, you will be integrated with the team responsible for managing, overseeing and delivering engineering projects from inception to completion. You shall be involved in technical contribution to the projects as well in managing the projects and stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure adherence to timelines and budgetary constraints.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, architects, and regulatory agencies.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Address any site-related issues promptly, providing technical guidance and solutions as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and environmental standards.
- Review project designs, specifications, and drawings to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
- Provide input during the design phase to optimize construction processes and materials selection.
- Collaborate with design teams to resolve any design-related issues or modifications.
- Implement QA/QC procedures to ensure construction work meets established standards and specifications.
- Conduct inspections and tests to verify the quality of materials and workmanship.
- Document and report any non-conformities or deviations, and work towards timely resolution.
- Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and other professionals to coordinate interdisciplinary aspects of projects.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging effective communication and teamwork.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree an advantage).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong technical knowledge in the core discipline i.e. electrical engineering.
- Proficient in softwares/ applications like powerpoint, excel, etc. Familiarity and working knowledge on AutoCad, Power System studies software shall be added advantage.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.
