We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CAD/CAM engineer to join our team.
Job Description:- Design and develop 3D models using Siemens NX software, including drafting and fixture assembly within the CAM file template.
- Perform GD&T analysis on customer drawings and carry out process planning for part manufacturing.
- Conduct product and process feasibility studies and determine appropriate machine selection.
- Design fixtures and introduce innovative concepts and develop corresponding technical manufacturing drawings.
- Generate 5-Axis Simultaneous NC Programs for Turn-Mill and Mill-Turn operations using Siemens NX Software and validate them using Siemens NX Software NC Simulation.
- Create NC programs with a focus on maximizing productivity and machining efficiency.
- Modify existing NC programs for different machines to support process improvements.
- Bachelor / Diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in creating Turning Milling and Turn-Mill programming using Siemens NX Software
- Strong expertise in Siemens NX (CAD & CAM)

Job Summary
The CNC Machinist is producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine and responsible for maintaining part quality, safety standards & company equipment's.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow all safety rules policies provided by NOV.
- Produce/Machine threaded Connections & parts as per the provided drawing and program.
- Inspect and verify that each thread & part is generated as per the provided specification.
- Follow all the guidelines provided by the Superintendent.
- Maintain a neat and dean working environment.
- Responsible for care, use, and protection of all company equipment. Know, understand, and follow all company and department safety rules.
- Maintain clean and orderly work area. Perform other duties as assigned by Superintendent.
- Perform job duties accurately and responsible. Verify part and work order.
BEHAVIORAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIESREQUIRED:
- Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments.
- Study First article parts, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to Machining products and determine product dimensions and tolerances.
- Math Skills: - Good math skills will help CNC machinists understand complex instructions, how schematics work and make sure items are designed and built correctly.
- Problem Solving Skills: - CNC machinists will need to know why machines are not at peak performance, how to increase output and how to fix errors.
- Attention to Detail: - CNC machinists will work with precision equipment. Being off by millimeters & Inches (Thousandth of an inch.) could be a critical error. Keen attention to detail is required.
- Mechanical and Technical Skills: - Machines controlled by computers will need operators who understand CAD/CAM technology.
- Stamina: - CNC machinists often work long hours doing repetitive movements.
- Conceptual Skills: - Process Improvement, Verbal Communication, Functional and Technical Skills, Tooling, Coordination, Attention to Detail and Judgment
QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- DME or ITI or vocational training courses in mechanical engineering with 2 years of experience.
- Work experience in Turner, Machinist, Fitter trades.
Experience:
- Mazak Machines (Integrex 400, ST450, STN500/550M),
- ROMI Machine (M33, M43),
- Doosan (Puma700LM, DBC130L).
- Oil & Gas experience in the manufacturing field.
Skills, Training, special knowledge, and/or Language skills
- Candidate must be familiar with operating a CNC machine, on Rotatory Shoulder Connections (API, Grant Prideco, Tenaris, Vam etc.) and HWDP (Drill pipe, Drill Collars and Drill Stem Components).
- Must be able to communicate in English and able to take and follow written and verbal instructions.

To operate CNC Lathes and in particular a Hankook Protec 9NC CNC Lathe in accordance with competence/knowledge, manufacturers' operating instructions, laid down QHSE policies and procedures, ensuring that the required products as requested in Work Orders are manufactured and delivered within the required time frame and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Set-up and operates CNC machines in particular Hankook Protec 9NC CNC Lathe in accordance with competence/knowledge and manufacturers' operating instructions in order to accomplish required job laid down in a Work Order, utilising the materials which accompany the Work Order.
- Visually check cutting tools and materials to commencing the work, replacing the tools from stores and reporting any defect in the materials to the Workshop Supervisor where appropriate.
- Operate the machine safely and competently in accordance with operating instructions and ensuring that good safety and housekeeping standards are maintained as laid down QHSE policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with QC Inspector after completion of the works.
- Ensure that an effective hand-over is carried out at the beginning/ end of each shift, assuring that any specific work or safety related information is communicated
- Read and interprets blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerance of finished work pieces, sequences of operations and setup requirements.
- Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls as required.
- Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machine.
- Performs other related field, maintenance or shop duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Responsible for the general housekeeping and cleaning of area of working.
- Program Fanuc CNC controls.
- Set and operate CNC lathes (HANKOOK 9NC, DOOSAN 800 and DOOSAN 400)
- All other duties as assigned.
- Expert;
- Expert in Programing/Setting/Operating CNC lathes in particular Hankook Protec 9NC CNC Lathe.
- Programing Fanuc 21i-TB and Fanuc 32i Model B controls.
- In the use of precision measuring equipment
- Dimensional checking of components Proficient;
- Good communication skills in English language, both verbal and written.
- Trade Machinist.
- Minimum 07 years previous experience working with CNC Lathes.
- Minimum 3 years working on Hankook Protec 9NC CNC Lathe.
- API equipment manufacture and repair.
- API threading experience.
- Premium threading experience (desirable)
- Ideally should have extensive experience in a workshop environment for oil and gas companies
- Trade Machinist.
- Minimum 07 years previous experience working with CNC Lathes. Matriculation certificate preffered.
- Light physical effort
- Sufficient physical ability to work in an industrial workshop environment
- May require travel across the Middle East and GCC country
