OverviewThe role of an Equipment Maintenance Specialist involves supporting the technical team in installing, servicing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on refrigeration systems and equipment.
This includes working with centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and heat exchangers to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
Duties and Responsibilities- Maintenance and repair tasks must be completed within specified timeframes and according to defined processes, service agreements, and customer needs.
- Site visits are conducted to resolve customer requests and calls as dispatched, develop positive customer relationships, and provide proactive feedback.
- Documentation of the status of customer equipment and systems, as well as the work completed, is essential.
To excel in this role, you should possess good product knowledge and understanding of HVAC systems, minimum 3 years of experience in the field, high school education plus a 2-year trade certificate in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, and technical expertise in HVAC systems, particularly chillers, brazing, vacuum, and pressure testing.
Able to read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams of HVAC systems, document work clearly, and submit service reports promptly are also key skills required for this position.
