AECOM are currently a Structural Engineer, to join our Building Engineering team, in Abu Dhabi. The Structural Engineer will be at the forefront of creating elegant, efficient, and sustainable designs for a diverse range of projects. **Job Description**
AECOM are currently a Structural Engineer, to join our Building Engineering team, in Abu Dhabi. The Structural Engineer will be at the forefront of creating elegant, efficient, and sustainable designs for a diverse range of projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, and clients, to deliver structures that meet and exceed expectations.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Develop structural designs and detailed engineering calculations for buildings, bridges, and other structures.
+ Use advanced analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD, Rhino) and Grasshopper) to model and optimize designs.
+ Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports in collaboration with CAD technicians and BIM specialists.
+ Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and structural investigations.
+ Ensure designs comply with local building codes, standards, and sustainability goals.
+ Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to achieve project goals.
+ Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to meet client expectations.
+ Attend design and site meetings to monitor progress and resolve technical challenges.
+ Utilize advanced structural analysis software to model and simulate different design scenarios.
+ Design structural elements such as beams, columns, and foundations to withstand loads and stresses.
+ Optimize designs to achieve maximum efficiency while adhering to safety codes and standards.
+ Work with architects and clients to develop innovative and sustainable design concepts.
+ Create initial sketches and prototypes to explore design possibilities and technical solutions.
+ Incorporate cutting-edge materials and construction techniques into design proposals.
**Qualifications**
+ Minimum 8 years post-undergraduate experience or minimum 6 years post-undergraduate experience if chartered
+ Experience in residential, high rise or hospitality projects
+ B. Sc or BEng in Civil / Structural Engineering, International Accreditation preferred (MIstructE or equivalent).
+ Local Authority Engineer registration preferred.

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Engineer - Bridges / Structures** to join our team, with a desire to work on **design of bridges and structures** within infrastructure projects enhancing the fabric of our communities.

**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Structural Analysis and Design of Bridges, Tunnels, Underpasses and civil structures, at both Preliminary and Detailed Design stages.
+ Defining & developing BIM models for your structures.
+ Site Inspections / Surveys / Condition Assessments.
+ Preparing Engineering Calculations and Specifications.
+ Providing input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafts, Designers and lower-level Engineers working on the same projects.
+ Other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
+ Minimum 5 years of related work experience relevant to bridges
+ Working knowledge of BIM tools, CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with bridge engineering.

Position Overview

The Senior Structural Engineer plays a pivotal role in the success of our projects, managing the delivery of medium-to-large-scale initiatives and mentoring junior engineers to drive their growth.

This position involves collaborating with internal teams and external clients to ensure design integrity and timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive structural designs and lead the creation of project design documentation.
  • Analyze and coordinate structural models and calculations to guarantee accuracy and quality.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to junior engineers, helping them refine their skills and expertise.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams through effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
