This includes planned preventative maintenance, corrective daily tasks, and emergency responses to unexpected issues.
The Technician acts as a key technical resource, reporting to and interacting with onsite Engineers and third-party vendors. They serve as the single point of contact for all facility operations within the data center, ensuring the delivery of 99.999% uptime.
The equipment they manage includes, but is not limited to, standby diesel generators, switchgear, UPS systems (Uninterruptible Power Supplies), PDUs (Power Distribution Units), and building automation systems such as BMS (Building Management System) and DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management).
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine building maintenance tasks and conduct daily visual inspections of major data center equipment.
- Monitor the health and functionality of all facilities equipment, including UPS systems, LV panels, switchgear, busway systems, BMS, DCIM controllers, and ELV systems, while maintaining daily logs and records.
- Conduct repair and maintenance work on a variety of electrical equipment.
- Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair tasks on electrical and ELV systems.
