**Job Description**
AECOM is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer for a major Roads and Infrastructure and bridges projects located in Dubai. The role involves both inspection and the supervision of Roads and Infrastructure works of the project and to ensure that the activities are being executed in accordance with the project specification.
+ Supervise and coordinate the construction of bridges and underpasses, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines
+ Review and approve contractors' shop drawings, proposed materials, and construction methods
+ Conduct regular field inspections to monitor work progress and ensure compliance with quality standards
+ Prepare and review technical reports, including daily diaries, inspection reports, and meeting minutes
+ Coordinate with contractors, surveyors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project schedules

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
+ Minimum of 12 years of demonstrable experience in supervising the construction of roads, highways, bridges, and underpasses
+ Previous experience working in Dubai, with familiarity of local construction practices and regulations
+ In-depth knowledge of bridge and underpass construction techniques and best practices
+ Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
+ Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools

Key Job Responsibilities:
- To plan, direct, coordinate, construction activities and monitor project execution.
- Management of a team of multi discipline architects, engineers, inspectors and specialists.
- Attendance or representation as appropriate at all project related construction meetings.
- Monitoring and reporting on the contractor's activities on site with respect to technical and contractual compliance.
- Supervise the adherence to project Health and Safety Plan and instructing appropriate action with regard to Health and safety issues.
- Ensuring maintenance and compliance of Stantec procedures.
- Report on the performance of the contractors with regard to quality of works and compliance with project performance indicator.
- Review and approval of shop drawings, materials and equipment, mockups and samples, brochures and other engineering submissions.
- Review and approval of as-built drawings guarantees, warranties maintenance manuals, spare parts and close-out reports
- Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, emergencies at construction site.
- Coordinate with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and Stantec design teams to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
- Respond to Request for Information and queries raised by contractors.
- Administer Change orders.
- As appropriate visit the sites of the extraction and fabrication of material/equipment for performance & workmanship before delivery to site.
- Assist the Client in settling and disputes between the client and contractors.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum 15 years' ME experience including 8 years in UAE working in an international consultant environment.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines: Civil / Structural.
-Healthcare facility project delivery/construction experience would be preferred.
- Strong engineering and technical background. (FIDIC contracts) .
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office business solution (Excel, Word).

Stantec is looking to hire a HSE Engineer to join our growing site supervision team in Abu Dhabi.
The HSE Engineer shall implement the Safety rules of the company and the client, supervise the different areas in order to promote and maintain a safe working environment.
Key accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to:
-Preparation and review of HSE Plans, risk assessment, HSE procedures, audit plan
-Conducting HSE audits, inspection, incident investigation as per OHSAS 18001 requirements, OSHAD, International and local requirements
-Good knowledge in the local requirements and regulations for OHSAD, AD municipality, Dubai Municipality, JAFZA Code of practices
-Coordination with clients, contractors and regulatory agencies
-Ensure compliance by all parties with Company's HSE requirements and regulations and all relevant legislation and statutory requirements, including rules and regulations (as amended from time to time)
-To manage in a manner that achieves quality installations meeting performance parameters set out in the Statement of requirements within the cost and schedule targets set by the company.

-Review and approve the HSE deliverables of the project.
-Monitor the construction activities and make sure that these are executed as per the HSE plan and procedures.
-Develop & execute a personal HSE intervention plan. Personal plan to include the activities that support visible HSE leadership such as, safety inspection tours in all areas, identifies potential hazards & recommended solutions, audits, personal interaction and participation in HSE meetings.
-Direct and support the identification of HSE hazards, evaluation of risks for all activities and develop the tools to manage and reduce these risks
-Participate in and/or review the various Formal Safety Assessments.
-Review HSE Plan, Procedure, Method Statement, Risk assessment & all Health, Safety & Environment related documentation to ensure compliance with established standards.
-Implement improvement & prohibition notice to contractors set up recommendation & corrective action with the close out date follow up the same
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum 12 years of vivid experience in HSE domain in construction related operations with Consultant firms in UAE and ME.
- Level 06 Diploma or above in OSH
- ISO 45001 Lead Auditor
- Experience letters from employers are mandatory as evidence of work experience in HSE domain.
-The ability to manage a heavy workload, with a close attention to detail.
-Excellent computer skills.
-A customer-focused approach, possessing impressive communication skills.
-The ability to work autonomously, reviewing your work on a regular basis while consistently meeting your objectives and the capabilities to meet tight deadlines. Candidate must have experience in Testing and Commissioning.
-Committed to working with all levels of management on a daily and ongoing basis.
-A proactive approach, working effectively in
co-ordinating activities and complex tasks, taking professional responsibility in all matters.
