What You'll Be Doing:
Coordinate, execute and manage site supervision, design review, planning, project monitoring and testing & commissioning.
Advise Project Management Team and the Client on technical matters related to procurement, installation, testing and commissioning of all mechanical equipment.
Attend all tests in factories and at site required for successful completion of the project, and handing over of assets to the relevant authorities.

My client a leading Architectural & Engineering practice renowned for delivering iconic and complex projects across the region are currently seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Project Director to lead the construction supervision of a prestigious luxury hotel project in Dubai. Job Summary: The Project Director will be the senior on-site representative, responsible for the overall leadership, management, and successful delivery of the construction supervision phase for a high-profile luxury hotel project. This role demands exceptional leadership, technical expertise in large-scale luxury developments, and a deep understanding of construction processes, quality control, and stakeholder management in the UAE market. The successful candidate will ensure the project is executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, budget, and schedule, reflecting the luxurious nature of the development. Key Responsibilities: Project Leadership & Management: * Provide strategic leadership and direction to the entire construction supervision team, including architects, engineers (structural, MEP), and specialty consultants. * Oversee all aspects of construction supervision from site mobilization through to project handover and close-out. * Develop and implement project execution plans, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) programs, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols. * Ensure strict adherence to project specifications, design intent, local regulations, and international best practices. Stakeholder Management: * Act as the primary point of contact for the Client, Developers, Contractors, Sub-contractors, and other key stakeholders. * Foster strong working relationships and facilitate effective communication among all project participants. * Represent the firm in all project-related meetings, presentations, and negotiations. Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance: * Oversee the review and approval of contractor submissions, shop drawings, material samples, and method statements. * Ensure the highest quality of workmanship and materials are achieved, consistent with luxury hotel standards. * Lead regular site inspections and audits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance. * Direct the resolution of complex technical challenges and construction-related issues. Budget, Schedule & Risk Management: * Monitor project progress against the approved schedule and budget, implementing corrective actions as necessary. * Manage change orders, variations, and claims in coordination with the commercial team. * Identify and mitigate project risks (technical, financial, contractual, and operational). Team Development & Mentorship: * Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing construction supervision team. * Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. * Professional registration/licensure (e.g., P.Eng., RIBA, AIA, or equivalent). * Minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in construction supervision and project management, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Project Director, Senior Project Manager). * Mandatory: Extensive experience (at least 5 years) in the construction supervision of large-scale luxury hotel or high-end hospitality projects. * Demonstrable experience working on projects in the Middle East, particularly Dubai, with a strong understanding of local regulations, authorities, and construction practices. * Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-million dollar projects on time and within budget. Skills & Competencies: * Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse teams. * Superior communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * In-depth knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC preferred), project management methodologies, and quality management systems. * Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and BIM applications. * High degree of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct. * Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential;
