Our Multinational Civil Contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced consultant Construction Logistics Coordinator to join their team in Dubai, UAE to work on a new build project. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Logistics Coordinator on large scale new build projects and have worked with recognised main contractors in the UAE previously This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 3-6 month contract position as an outsource employed by J10 Consulting. Key Responsibilities: • Coordinate the movement of labor, materials and equipment to and from project sites • Assist in developing the Logistics Strategic Plans. • Monitor and coordinate all logistical aspects of the project and provide feedback on delivery approach. • Assist in logistics decisions including: Logistics plan preparation, Logistics plan development and implementation. • Assist in planning and knowledge of site set-up to move labour, plant, and materials around site efficiently (i.e. hoarding, gates, site accommodation, cranes, hoists, security, temporary services, material delivery, waste management strategy etc.). • Assist in planning and development of internal and external logistics routes through the project phases focusing on separation of vehicles, machinery, and people, whilst taking into consideration interfaces with future planned works. • Traffic Management • Layouts • Coordination • Cranes • Locations • Booking • Pick Points • Hoists • Workforce Management • Bussing Drop Off and Collection • Welfare Facilities
Requirements
• A degree or diploma qualification in Engineering or any equivalent degree • Minimum 5 years of experience in Construction Logistics • Operational experience in mid - large size Construction projects/programs • Brings new ideas, approaches or insights to their work and suggests process improvements • Persuades and influences others successfully towards a desired course of action. • Demonstrates a good perspective and ability to explore innovative approaches in pursuit of a better way. • Utilises new technology and helps others to adapt.
