Requirements

The Construction Manager will be a qualified professional who is currently working at senior level and is capable of providing planning, leadership, direction and technical expertise to manage complex tasks and multidisciplinary projects. He must have a minimum qualification BSc, BEng, BA or equivalent, have Chartered status and more than 15 years experience with 5 being similar to this project/role.

The Construction Manager will also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing AtkinsRéalis reputation with our clients and developing effective long term client relationships thus identifying and developing new opportunities for the Group.

  • An experienced Construction Manager with a demonstrable track record in the delivery of large multi functional projects.

  • Excellent knowledge of construction techniques as well project controls procedures, quality and health & safety

  • A “rounded profile”, comfortable with planning, analysis and managing process and commercial considerations. The successful candidate will also be able to mobilise people and teams and drive for a successful delivery.

  • Effective in building good working relationships within complex structures both within projects, with clients and internally.

Principle Activities

  • Managing a multi functional site supervision team responsible for delivering a large number of varied mega projects (hospitality, mixed use, retail, entertainment) accordance with the client’s requirements.

  • Managing key stakeholder interfaces which will include all departments within the client organisation as well as other government departments.

  • Overall construction management and control.

  • Monitoring contractors for compliance with their contractual responsibilities.

  • Monitoring progress of the construction for compliance with schedule.

  • Ensure delivery of projects to time, cost and quality and ensuring highest standards of Health & Safety are achieved.

Job Overview

The SeniorEngineer should have gained proven experience in design and engineering right from planning stage till execution which includes FEED verification, planning of MH & MP, resource management, lead the development of key deliverables, conducting various stage design reviews, progress monitoring and control.

In your role you are expected to demonstrate your proven track record in maintaining proper resourcing in terms of capacity and competence as well as in well organizing projects with proper work sharing, tracking of progress & coordination with Inter disciplines and counter parts/client.

You will be responsible for leading projects (as Lead Engineer) as and when required, handling engineering design review and analysis assignments normally involving a major projects or several smaller or less complex projects. These projects by nature of their complexity and difficulty require the fully competent application of conventional and specific knowledge in oil & gas.

In your role you will execute civil structural design deliverables in projects while complying to safety , within budget and schedule and with quality.

You should have a desire to work on multi-disciplinary local as well overseas projects and be able to drive discipline goals by leading assigned discipline designers and engineers.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Direct the employees and supervision of work related to Civil/structural and associated works.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers for resolution of related issues.

  • Coordinate and report to the reporting authority / manager on specific subjects including resourcing, technical issues, project progress, efficiency and performance of the resources / discipline.
  • Responsible for maintaining quality and technical correctness through reviewing all drawings, design proposals, method statements, any requests for information relating to the civil/structural works.
  • Coordinate with client, sub-contractors and related concerned authorities.
  • Convene and chair regular team meetings about issues related to civil structural work and related activities.
  • Ensure prompt exchange of correspondence and approvals.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Ensure safety goals are achieved on the project and oversee implementation of safety procedures on the project.
  • Act positively and participate in all health and safety issues at the site, as required by the Project Safety Representatives.
  • Comply with safety, health and risk management requirements.
  • Provide all necessary on-site direction and issue work instructions for civil/structural and other related activities.
  • Check and measure the performed work and record and display progress vs programmed work.
  • Prepare progress reports as applicable.
  • Participate in estimation for sales enquiries and provide required support for bidding

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with 15 years minimum Oil & Gas experience and minimum 8 years in Senior role
  • Good verbal as well written communication skills, leadership and coordination, analytic and pro-active approach competence in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Chemical Industries.
  • Willingness to overcome challenges and pressure during peak of project.
  • Willing to do extensive site-surveys during project execution.
  • UAE local experience is added value.

JOB TITLE: Supervisor - Construction (Lifting)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Review lift plans for Non-Routine (Complex and Critical Categories), Weighing procedures, and Loadout Manuals with Construction Support Operations (CSO) department at home office. Must be in line with Petrofac and project HSSE policies and guidelines.

· Support in developing lift study, heavy haul plans, weighing and loadout plans, method statement and JSA’s.

· Conduct daily site audits to ensure HSE and Lifting / Hauling inspections and procedure compliance.

· Monitoring of project lifting & rigging operations to ensure all lifts are performed in accordance with approved rigging plans and procedure

· Qualified person for all Load-out, Load-in and Erection activities using lifting equipment.

· Ensure all lifting / hauling equipment are well maintained, inspected and certified by approved 3rd party and meets the regulatory frequency.

· Ensure all personnel involved in lifting / hauling operation are trained, competent and 3rd party certified.

· Reviewing and approving routine lift plan, rigging & lifting procedure and lift studies including subcontractor’s lift plan.

· Confirming there is an effective procedure for reporting defects and incidents and taking any corrective action.

· Ensuring that the implementation of Petrofac procedures are in place and sub – contractors adhering to them.

· Support in conducting Verification of Competency assessments onsite.

· Input site construction feedback in Construction Observation Form

Job Overview

Identify and highlight technical and constructability issues and raise them with Line Manager and construction contractors site supervisors and communicate to construction contractors for action.
  • Support the Lead Project Engineer to coordinate with other Stakeholders regarding the planning and executing of installation and modification works.
  • Support the Lead Project Engineer to prepare updates on weekly progress, resource requirements, drawings and documents availability, and schedule look-ahead, etc. and report any important issues, such as deviations and delays to support implementation of corrective action.
  • Expedite resolution of contractor’s technical queries and provide guidance.
  • Perform other similar or related duties as required or assigned by the Lead Instrumentation Engineer / Construction Manager of the Project.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Supervise timely and effective execution of I&C installation/modification work within the scope of projects at brown field gas facilities. Ensure the works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, relevant policies and procedures, method statements and project schedules.
  • Plan and coordinate the activities and resources at the construction site to ensure effective coordination and supervision of construction/modification project works related to onshore and offshore transformers, Deluge skid, fire and gas system, Integration of FGS system with existing Honeywell DCS (OEM) in gas facilities related to assigned Projects is carried out in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.
  • Undertake the required initiatives to effectively estimate man hour requirements, plan work schedules, assign and direct subordinates and attend work site during assigned tasks in improvement initiatives associated with facilities and systems.
  • Interface and coordinate closely with main/primary contractors and subcontractors’ teams to monitor effective progress of construction site activities related to Instrumentation and control work. Allocate work to team; conduct safety talks prior to tasks to support successful completion of activities in accord with safety standards.
  • Review list of Instrumentation & control problems and problem areas affecting construction schedules or path with the other discipline Engineer to take actions to resolve these problems. Resolve any such related problems by attending, participating and/or delegating work to available technicians to expedite resolutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Instrumentation) with 10-15 years minimum Oil & Gas experience.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage offshore construction projects from initiation to completion.

  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and HSE teams to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Supervise site personnel and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.

  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines, providing regular updates to stakeholders.

  • Resolve technical and logistical issues to minimize downtime and delays.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company HSE standards.

  • Conduct inspections and quality checks throughout construction phases.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum 18 years of experience in construction management within the oil & gas industry.

  • Proven offshore project experience, including platform construction, pipelines, or marine infrastructure.

  • Strong knowledge of offshore construction standards and safety regulations.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.

  • Valid offshore certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET) preferred.
