STRUCTURAL has been established in UAE since 2008 and has offices/operations in Qatar and KSA.
We are currently recruiting for a Construction Manager to be based out of our Dubai or Abu Dhabi office and provide construction leadership across UAE. As a Construction Manager in UAE, you will be responsible for providing high level field management to other Superintendents, Foreman as well as our open-shop crews that make our nation’s structures stronger and last longer. Projects typically consist of concrete repair, cathodic protection, waterproofing, and structural strengthening in commercial and industrial settings.
As a successful candidate, you will also be responsible for:
Working closely with Project Managers, Division Managers and other leaders within the STRUCTURAL GC&C business line
Participating in pre-project and pre-task planning activities then disseminating planning details to field crews
Motivating team members to work together to accomplish tasks, coordinate work activities with other construction project activities and assign work to employees, based on material and worker requirements of specific jobs
Ensuring crews are operating all tools and equipment in a safe, proper and productive manner
Providing training and assistance to crews in the performance of work-related tasks
Assisting Project Managers in evaluating various production rates related to the project
Completing all essential paperwork in a clear an accurate manner
Interviewing and hiring of new field employees
Providing leadership to our Company's Safety 24/7 culture
Candidates who meet the following criteria may be considered for this exciting position based in our large Operations division:
High school degree or equivalent
10+ years of experience in general construction with at least 5 of those years in a Foreman or Assistant Superintendent role
Prior experience in general repair type projects to include concrete repair, structural strengthening, waterproofing, corrosion control, etc.
Previous experience running 4 projects simultaneously - Ideally in an industrial construction environment
Proven ability to supervise various levels of field managers as well as crews with minimal subcontract oversight
Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and execute to construction drawings and contract specifications
Established dedication to safety and ability to display adherence to our Company's operating principles
Proven experience to produce look-ahead schedules and work with other construction documents as required by the project
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with the customer, crew and project teams
Intermediate computer skills and construction math skills

Scope of Responsibilities:
Operate as a part of a team of Advance Work Packaging professionals in the preparation of Construction, and/or Installation Work Packages. Coordinates with construction, fabricators and subcontractors on the Installation Work Packages preparation and implementation.
Primary Duties:
· Developing Work Packages with all the details required for its execution (engineering deliverables, materials, resources, constraints, safety, and quality control measures).
· Ensure data required to build work packages is available and accurate, in coordination with Engineering and Supply Chain departments.
· Ensure proper execution of AWP procedures and practices on the project.
· Analysing the project design documents to determine the scope and requirements of the work.
· Prepare weekly reports that monitor the packages drawings IFC dates and material delivery status.
· Maintain a sufficient backlog of approved CWPs and/or IWPs.
· Work with Document Control to establish EWP / CWP / IWPs document ties.
· Monitor and update the life Cycle of the CWP and/or IWPs.
· Maintain the Change Management process in the packaging program.
· Review work packages (CWPs and /or IWPs) to release for construction.
· Work with the project planner, and Construction Engineer to ensure work packages alignment in accordance with path of construction.
· Coordinate with other AWP engineers from other disciplines to ensure logical execution sequence.
· Providing leadership, and guidance to the AWP team, including training, and mentoring of junior team members.
· Leads the construction subcontractors / fabricators on the IWP implementation:
§ Scoping sessions with stakeholders to identify open fronts and priorities for IWP preparation.
§ Identifying all constraints of the IWPs and clearing them with stakeholders’ prior release
§ Developing IWP / L4 schedule with construction partner planners
§ Ensures construction progress reporting against the IWPs.
§ Linking each IWP to its related ITR (Inspection Test Report) and BOQ for invoicing process.
5 years’ minimum construction projects experience (Resume with References), familiar with AWP Software and Tools. Full AWP / workface planning implementation on at least 2 Years in oil & gas project.

- Working knowledge of planning, designing and construction of water supply systems, including Water treatment, pumping systems, intake structures, etc.,
- Shall have basic experience in creating utility cross sections as per requirements of local authorities in the Gulf region like RTA (Dubai), DMT (Abu Dhabi), MOMRA (KSA), etc.

- Shall have experience of liaising with service providers agencies for obtaining NOCs and Design Approvals, etc.
- Helps determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule. May assist with other administrative and technical duties.
- Recommends and prepares technical papers.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) and 15+ years of related work experience
- Master's degree would be preferred
- Professional Engineer registration may be required
- Potential to perform in a lead capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations are required
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project
- Requires advance engineering knowledge in design of urban water supply and irrigation systems. Familiarity with CAD (Civil 3D) and other PC software packages typically associated with wet services engineering is also required. Knowledge of latest software like Civil 3D, Dynamo, Python, Open Roads, Open Utilities, GIS is preferred.
- Regional/international experience of water systems design and management strategies in comparable situations. We are looking for a team player with strong inter-personal, communication and excellent report writing skills.
- Experience in on-the-job training and mentoring in pressure system design and management skills.
