Job Purpose:
To effectively manage and lead a bank branch, adhering to SIB policies and guidelines, and ensuring that target achievement, business development and high customer focus are maintained as per the strategic plan set for the Branch, the Area and the Retail Banking function as a whole.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Development of Business:
    Identifies opportunities and actively pursues them to use appropriately in developing the Business. Promotes Branch quality services to gain maximum market share to maximize profitability.
  2. Follow-up On Daily Reports:
    Reviews reports related to overdraft, dormant accounts, daily assets & liabilities, profit & loss accounts, suspense accounts, etc. Reviews financial sheets from previous day's operations and attends to unusual situations such as overdraft, facilities, etc. granted to customers and reports accordingly.
  3. People Management:
    Supervises the performance of employees in their daily operations, providing support and guidance.
  4. Performance Monitoring:
    Reviews internal reports, performance against established targets, comments and provides guidance and support for further action as applicable. Generates commitments & builds a reliable team, providing guidance & support with constructive feedback.

Exercises financial responsibilities at the level established by Management for this position. Works according to established procedures within the policy of the bank. Makes own decisions for matters within the scope of the position and refers major decisions and recommendations to higher levels of supervision for further discussion, approval and handling.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of the complete range of banking products and services.
  • Over 5 years of experience in governance within the financial sector, with a strong record of consistent performance and achievements.
  • Understanding of all banking operations, Islamic Banking products, policies, CBUAE regulations and compliance.
  • Deep understanding of the Consumer Protection Regulation and its associated standards.
  • Solid grasp of both local and international regulatory frameworks.

Language:

  • Good communication skills both oral and written in English (Arabic is an advantage).

We at Markai Group are looking to recruit experienced Sales Managers & Team Leaders – Personal Loans or Credit Cards at our Dubai & Abu Dhabi offices in United Arab Emirates for reputed Bank Channels.

The ideal candidate should be able to direct, lead and motivate a team of sales agents / TLs to ensure effective management of the sales network.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Monitor Sales Management activities and sales metrics for sales agents / TLs and staff objectives including key sales activity metrics and sales objectives for the sales staff and providing guidance and support to enhance performance.
  • Develop actionable, innovative and effective activities to achieve sales targets.
  • Ensure that the sales agents / TLs exceed their targets in a manner compliant to Markai Policy and Code of Conduct
  • Ensure there are regular team meetings to analyze progress and plan activity to succeed.
  • Identify training needs and coordinating with the relevant departments/staff to ensure training is provided.
  • Resolve management queries and staff and customer complaints.
  • Ensure adequate compliance resources are in place and training is provided and by fostering a compliance culture. Ensure that reporting and operational control is effective through spot checks and follow ups on recommendations implemented.
  • Implement best practices and recommended updates received from Compliance/Internal Controls and internal and external Audit points and issues.
  • Drive the performance of the department by leading, managing and developing the team.
  • Manage the team and work with HR to ensure the availability of adequate and skilled resources and fostering a performance driven and compliance-oriented culture in the department.
  • Coach senior executives, planning career development and enhancing their professional skills and encourage them to continuously enhance operations and service levels.
  • Manage the performance appraisal system to ensure that development opportunities are identified, and top performers are recognized.

Experience And Qualifications
  • Minimum Education Level - Bachelor's degree from a reputed educational institution
  • Professional Qualification - MBA or equivalent post graduate degree/diplomas in finance, accounting and/or general management
  • Experience - 5-7 years in the Retail banking with a minimum of 3 years in a Team Leader Role.

Requirements

To excel in this senior role, a candidate must possess a strong foundation of knowledge and a specific set of personal attributes :

Educational and Professional Qualifications :

  • Education : A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field is typically required. A Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a specialized master's degree in wealth management is often preferred.

Senior Surveyor Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to manage condition assessments of vessels and audit offices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Familiarize yourself with all aspects of the services and key deliverables.
  • Manage condition assessments of vessels, audit offices, shipyards, and ports as part of pre-risk assessments for H&M and P&I insurers.
  • Offer guidance and training to staff surveyors, assisting in product development.
  • Assist in QA deliverables and ensure the quality of the product.
  • Assist and manage business development activities including promoting services with local and international clients.

This role is based in Dubai / Abu Dhabi or Mumbai, offering the right to work and reside in UAE or India. Relocation assistance will be offered to the right candidate.

Requirements:
  • Driven and solution-oriented professionals with sound technical skills and good decision-making capabilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, strong leadership ability, and the ability to deal effectively with multiple issues and assignments simultaneously.
  • Qualified Master Mariner (STCW II/2), Chief Engineer (STCW III/2), or equivalent with relevant offshore-related experience.
  • At least 10 years of sea-going experience within the Marine or Offshore Industry.
  • Previous experience working with exposure to vessels.
  • Strong communication skills and a good command of the written and spoken English language.
