Control Systems Engineering Manager
As a seasoned professional in the oil and gas industry, we are seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team.
Key Accountabilities:- Lead and direct a team of engineers and designers on detailed design and engineering activities related to oil and gas production/topside control systems.
- Ensure full understanding and scope of definition against contract/bid information handed over from applications engineering team.
- Work with project planners to generate design and development plans with focus on personnel and all engineering deliverables including final documentation.
- Scope and budget engineering deliverables through engineering resources allocation.
- Release engineering 'sign off' on project design deliverables/documents.
- Technical approval authority on engineering change requests through ERP.
- Create and maintain technical risk registers, lessons learned sessions.
- Problem solving, technical reporting of root cause analysis on project-specific issues.
- Technical interface to customers/vendors on project-specific or generic matters.
- Perform departmental activities in strict adherence to ISO 9001 requirements.
- Set goals and objectives for individuals and departments with measurable KPIs.
- Proactively participate in process improvements for seamless interdepartmental communication and integration.
- Training and development initiatives for existing resources with clear schedules.
- Track and evaluate engineering man hours monitoring mechanisms, subsequent billing, maintain engineering scorecards with reference to live projects.
- Participate and direct project engineering kick-off meetings, engineering progress review meetings.

- Proficiency in preparation/interpretation of P&ID drawings of pneumatic/hydraulic/PLC-based/hybrid control systems for topside applications such as wellhead control panels.
- Proficiency in correct interpretation of client specifications and implementation.
- Experience in preparation/review of engineering datasheets of instrumentation/hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical/PLC components for procurement/approval to clients.
- Sound knowledge of electrical contactor/relay-based control circuits preparation and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge in selection of electrical/electronic instruments/components for hazardous area applications such as Zone 0,1,2.
- Knowledge in selection of LV drives for hydraulic pumps, motor control centers.
- Awareness of international standards such as IEC79, IEC529, ISA S 5.1.
- Cable selection CU/XLPE/SWB/PVC and to IEC standards.
- Basic awareness of fluid mechanics/fluid engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
