Location: We hire with a focus on Dubai and Europe. For this role, we prefer candidates who are either based in Dubai or working remotely within +/- 4 hours GST time.
The Head of Corporate Development will lead strategic growth initiatives including investments, acquisitions, and fundraising. He/she will take full ownership of the equity fundraising process, managing all aspects from investor engagement and deal structuring to negotiation and closing. Also, he/she will oversee strategic investment/M&A activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investment banking, venture capital, or private equity, with a proven track record of raising significant capital in the tech or fintech sectors.
This role requires deep knowledge of capital markets, blockchain, and DeFi, as well as exceptional leadership, influence and relationship-building skills. You will be responsible for identifying, pitching to, and securing institutional investors, including strategic fintech investors/business partners, sovereign wealth funds, VC/PE firms, and family offices
You'll be a great fit if you're a proactive, resourceful, and resilient go-getter. You'll need to handle rejections with maturity, while thinking and acting strategically to accomplish objectives and supercharge our growth.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage a $500M equity raise at a $B valuation , designing and executing the full fundraising strategy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, delivering compelling pitches that highlight the company's growth and market potential.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create high-quality financial models, investor presentations, and a clear equity story.
- Monitor market trends to provide insights and refine the overall fundraising strategy.
- Identify, assess, and lead end-to-end M&A processes , from sourcing to integration.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across finance, legal, product, and operations to ensure smooth deal execution.
- Work with the legal team to structure deals that are compliant and manage all due diligence and documentation.
- 10+ years of experience in investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate finance, with a strong focus on fundraising and deal execution.
- Proven track record of leading large equity raises (> 100M) in high-growth companies, preferably in fintech, blockchain, or DeFi.
- Deep understanding of capital markets, including familiarity with deal structuring, valuation methodologies, and term sheet negotiations.
- Strong institutional investor network across VCs, PE firms, sovereign wealth funds, and family offices.
- Excellent financial modelling, valuation, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and DeFi protocols is a strong plus.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
