- Provide legal leadership on cross-border M&A, strategic partnerships, and international business formations.
- Advise on and manage litigation and dispute resolution matters, including managing legal risks and strategy.
- Liaise with and manage external law firms, including instructing counsel, monitoring performance, reviewing advice and controlling legal spend.
- Structure and negotiate investment agreements, shareholder agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and other transactional documents.
- Ensure compliance with local and international legal, tax, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SEC, FCA, AIFMD, MiFID II, AML/KYC, CRS/FATCA).
- Oversee corporate governance for the holding company and its subsidiaries, including preparation of board materials, resolutions, and filings.
- Coordinate with local counsel across multiple jurisdictions on legal due diligence, compliance reviews, and regulatory matters.
- Develop and implement internal legal policies and risk mitigation strategies tailored to the firm's global footprint.
- Collaborate closely with investment, finance, tax, and compliance teams to align legal strategy with the firm's business objectives.
- Qualified solicitor with a current practicing certificate or equivalent legal degree from an accredited institution.
- Proven legal experience in the UK, with in depth understanding of the UK legal and regulatory landscape.
- Licensed to practice law in Dubai and in good standing.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of post-qualification experience in corporate and international investment law, ideally within an investment firm or global law firm.
