• Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Education, Psychology, or a closely related field. A Master’s degree is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in academic advising, student counseling, or a similar role within an educational setting.
• Comprehensive understanding of academic policies, procedures, and student development principles.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills, with the ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple student cases and maintain detailed records.

Course Counselor

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Course Counselor. In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist students in making informed decisions about their academic careers and guide them towards accomplishing their educational goals. As a Course Counselor, you will be responsible for providing academic advice, helping students develop a course plan, and ensuring that they have a clear understanding of the requirements needed to complete their degree program successfully.

• Provide academic counseling and support to students, helping them develop an individualized course plan based on their interests, goals, and degree requirements.
• Assist students in navigating course selection, understanding prerequisites, and ensuring that they meet the necessary requirements for their desired field of study.
• Conduct regular check-ins with students to evaluate their progress, offer guidance, and address any academic concerns or challenges they may be facing.
• Collaborate with faculty and departmental advisors to stay updated on curriculum changes, new course offerings, and degree program requirements.
• Maintain accurate and updated student records, ensuring that all academic advising interactions are properly documented.
• Stay informed about university policies, procedures, and resources, and effectively communicate this information to students.
• Attend professional development workshops and conferences to enhance counseling skills and stay abreast of current trends in academic advising.

Admissions Counselor
Years of experience: 02-03 years of experience

The Admissions Counselor will connect students with the International curricula including Arabic schools, webinars, and activities to help them get the most out of the college experience. He / She will meet with students to assess their academic standing and extracurricular activities, inform them about colleges, programs, and majors, and connect them with resources that will help them get into our University. You will also conduct interviews, arrange for campus tours, conduct information sessions, and represent the college at school fairs or other recruiting or outreach initiatives. You should be committed to learning more about the students you interact with and how they may benefit from specific college courses. You should be knowledgeable, resourceful, and supportive with strong communication skills. You will call the student school database on a daily basis to shortlist those interested in joining our courses.

1. Fixing interactive sessions with all curricula-based schools’ students/parents.
2. Maintain good schools Counselors network.
3. Highlighting the benefits of specific programs and courses to attract students and encourage diversity on campus.
4. Scheduling campus open days and activities for school students.
5. Contacting students/parents daily to brief them about our courses and their merits.
6. Maximize student recruitment by following up on leads and generating more leads through database calling.
7. Staying current with school admission processes and requirements, school programs, majors, courses, and developments in education and financial aid.
8. Organizing recruiting events and representing schools at college fairs, high schools, and other promotional opportunities.
9. Conducting student recruitment interviews, reviewing application materials, and assisting in the admissions decision-making process.
10. Arranging campus tours and conducting information sessions.
11. Developing and maintaining an active alumni network to plan events, help students find opportunities in their fields, and obtain funding.
12. Maintaining accurate and current knowledge of educational legislation, trends, developments, and resources.
13. Minimum 2-3 years UAE experience in college/university/higher education industry/Institute in admissions.
14. Good in English speaking, reading, writing.
15. Familiarity with college and university programs, majors, admissions requirements and processes, and scholarship and financial aid resources.
16. Excellent active listening, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
17. UAE valid Driving license – not compulsory.
18. Ability to counsel students/parents to recruit for our college academic programs.
19. Flexibility to represent our college in exhibitions, school fairs, etc., out of regular working hours.
20. Strong planning and people reading skills.
21. Ability to multitask and stay organized.
22. Willingness to guide others and provide ongoing support as they make important decisions.
