About The Role

Key Responsibilities

Student Support & Guidance

• Provide individual and group counseling to students on academic, personal, social, and emotional issues.
• Assist students in developing coping strategies, problem-solving skills, and positive behavior.

Collaboration with Parents & Teachers

• Work closely with teachers to identify students needing additional support.

Job Opportunity: Student Counselor

The Student Counselor plays a vital role in providing comprehensive counseling services to students facing personal, social, and academic challenges. This includes offering individual and group counseling, psychological and educational assessments, and crisis intervention programs.

• Delivers counseling services including individual and group therapy, assessment, and skills training workshops to enhance students' well-being.
• Ensures adherence to the Code of Ethical Practice and Standards of Professional Conduct as prescribed by the American Counseling Association (ACA).
• Creates a trustworthy atmosphere that encourages parents and the community to seek services or consultations aimed at promoting students' psychological health and wellbeing.

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Counseling Psychology or closely related fields from an accredited institution, with a Master's degree being preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of group dynamics, personal counseling techniques suitable for an educational setting, and UAE culture awareness.
• Relevant licensure or ability to acquire a license in the UAE.
