Overview:
As a Manager in our client's UAE Corporate tax team, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert technical advice on corporate tax implementation in the UAE and other GCC countries (if required). Handing a portfolio of clients, you will report directly to the Corporate Tax Director, and collaborate closely with leadership and on leading clients.
Roles and Responsibilities- Technical Advisory: Deliver expert technical advice on UAE corporate tax matters and transactions, providing clients with comprehensive insights.
- Technical Advisory: Apply knowledge of tax accounting principles, including the accurate calculation and reporting of deferred taxes and recognition of current tax liabilities, in line with relevant standards (e.g., IAS 12).
- Technical Advisory: Conduct international tax research including on tax treaties, and BEPS 2.0, providing clients with timely advice and strategic insights.
- Corporate Tax Implementation: Assist clients in the efficient implementation of corporate tax strategies in the UAE.
- Corporate Tax Implementation: Support clients in developing and implementing effective processes and compliance frameworks.
- Compliance: Assist clients in tax registrations, de-registrations, and associated matters.
- Compliance: Assist clients in obtaining clarifications on complex or ambiguous tax matters, ensuring a clear understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Compliance: Prepare and review complex tax computations, including deferred tax computations for large listed clients and family groups, considering the impact of UAE corporate tax law on their liabilities.
- Compliance: Provide tax compliance services to ensure clients adhere to legal obligations and reporting standards.
- Tax Technology and Operational Efficiency: Contribute to the development of tax technology tools to enhance operational effectiveness in clients and the firms tax functions.
- Business Development: Assist the seniors in pursuits, proposals, and marketing activities, contributing to the growth of the firm.
- Client Relationship Management: Take responsibility for developing relationships with clients, acting as the first-line contact for inquiries and support.
- Project Management: Manage various projects and workflows diligently, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in and contribute to attaining team goals, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
- CAs or CPAs with 6 to 9 years of experience in corporate and international tax with BEPS 2.0 experience.
- Experience of the UAE and GCC region will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and client service.
- Familiarity with new age technologies and tax software.
- Proficiency in Arabic will be an added advantage.

Job Description
- Oversee all aspects of corporate tax compliance (including VAT, CIT, and WHT) in accordance with UAE tax laws and regulations.
- Lead and coordinate tax audits and liaise with external auditors, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and review tax returns, supporting documentation, and tax-related financial disclosures.
- Develop and maintain effective tax planning strategies to optimize the company's tax position while ensuring full compliance.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and proactively assess their impact on the business.
- Support the finance team in ensuring accurate tax accounting entries and reconciliations.
- Maintain and manage transfer pricing documentation where applicable.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure consistent and compliant tax practices across the organization.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in tax compliance and audit, preferably within the UAE.
- Prior experience working with one of the Big 4 accounting firms is considerable.
- Professional certification such as CPA, CA, CTA, or equivalent is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax and VAT regulations
- Excellent understanding of IFRS and tax accounting principles
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
