Job Description

We are looking for a Lead Cloud Architect (LCA) with Artificial Intelligence experience who will be responsible for designing, building, and managing best-in-class solutions for our CSS customers:

  • Establishes trusted relationships with customers.
  • Be familiar with Oracle Cloud and AI products and solutions.
  • Assess and analyze customer needs to capture business and industry requirements; translate them into technical architectures aligned with Oracle's best practices.
  • Lead CSS's highly experienced delivery teams by providing technical governance and guidance.
  • Extensive problem resolution skills.
  • Build relationships with team members, other Oracle teams, and customers at different levels of the reporting line up to CIO or equivalent business owner.
  • Be the main contact for new business opportunities by supporting our CSS Services Solutioning with scope and LOE definition and technical guidance.
  • Drive innovation by incubating new practices and solutions including a structured approach to adapt them.
  • Market awareness around existing and emerging technologies.
  • Apply industry and Oracle best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen.
  • Be the Oracle Solution Delivery authority to ensure that customers achieve beneficial solutions regarding cost-effectiveness, quality, and manageability.
  • Provide technical guidance on Oracle cloud and AI solutions to customers and Oracle internal teams.
  • Ensure successful handover from implementation toward operations, making sure the implemented solution will fit the customer requirements.
  • Maintain the Oracle Solution to ensure that customer demands and needs are met.
  • Drive your development in Oracle cloud and AI technologies.
  • Work closely with different CSS teams to make implementation and operation of mission-critical environments a success.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of experience as a senior architect delivering cloud and AI solutions.
  • Applicants are required to read, write, and speak fluently in English.
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff at all levels of the customer organization.

  • Manage and develop the relationship with designated account(s) in Middle East and Africa throughout the engagement against the contractual deliverables & commercials.

This is a general track for applications to any team at Canonical that works with web-centric tech (JS, TypeScript, React, CSS, Flutter), across all seniority levels. Many of Canonical's enterprise products have web front-ends.

In order to create consistency across our products and sites, we have a central team that builds an open source React toolkit and presentation layer, the Vanilla Framework. We are excited to develop this further and see if we can help more open source projects build performant and accessible interfaces that respond well to diverse layouts.

We use REST APIs for communication, and we consider API design an important part of the process. We care about accessibility in our products and take time to work with designers. Flutter is a new front-end technology that has the potential to unify our desktop and web development. We are growing the team's exposure to Flutter and have roles on both web and Ubuntu engineering for this specialism.

Technical Account Manager (TAM) – Oracle CSS - UAE

They help customers maximize the business value of their Oracle investments, achieving the desired business outcomes while minimizing risk. To do this, TAMs must become trusted advisors to the customer, ensure consistency and quality of deliverables, help customers deliver their IT strategy, overcome challenges and meet business goals, and use leading practices for successful Oracle technology and Cloud deployments and operations. The Services Portfolio includes Managed Services, On-Premise, Hybrid Cloud, Applications, Platforms and Databases (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS), and Security services that TAMs may manage in full or in part.

Responsibilities

What you will do

  • Manage and develop the relationship with designated account(s) in Middle East and Africa throughout the engagement against the contractual deliverables & commercials.
  • Become the trusted advisor for the customer, in order to help to maximize their investment in Oracle and represent them across the wider Oracle organization.
  • Drive a high degree of satisfaction and reference ability, to protect and enhance Customer Success Services (CSS) revenue streams
  • Manage the delivery engagement as defined by CSS processes & tools, including creating and maintaining accurate service documentation
  • Coordinate the resources required to deliver the service to the allocated customer(s)
  • Assuring and improving high quality of CSS service.
  • Manage the contractual commercials, ensuring that the margin is maintained & developing plans to improve margin where appropriate
  • Manage commercial aspects of the contract such as rebates, storage costs, work packages, etc.
  • Assisting in the renewal of CSS contracts and contributing to pre-sales activities
  • Develop strategic relationships with senior members i.e. CIO, CTO of the customer management team.
  • Develop cross-team or 3rd party relationships, and work with these teams in delivering a comprehensive service to the customer
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with senior management across Oracle lines of business within the designated account(s)
  • Identify additional opportunities for customers to engage with Oracle, such as Special Interest Group (SIG), Oracle Customer Advisory Board (OCAB) plus other technical and business events.
  • Generate a Project Plan for each project which fully reflects CSS requirements.
Qualifications

What we are looking for

  • 10+ years IT project management experience, in B2B environments
  • PRINCE2 / PMP and standard ITIL Certification is desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills, good communicator
  • Extensive customer interaction experience at middle or executive levels. Solid industry experience/knowledge.
  • Preferable previous Outsourcing, SaaS and Managed Cloud delivery or implementation experience
  • Proven track record of building strategic relationships and delivering high levels of customer service
  • Proven day-to-day service delivery experience, this should be in current role
  • Previous experience of working in a virtual team, and taking the lead role for that team
