The Technical Project Engineer is responsible to coordinate all post-order engineering activities including design, develop, and control the electrical systems for customer projects in the UK&I. The role is based in Dubai and will provide remote support to the UK&I Projects Team.
Eaton's projects can involve every aspect of power distribution from low to medium voltage, UPS (uninterrupted power supply), and automation such as EPMS (Energy Power Monitoring System) and SCADA.
This technical coordination role ensures technical clarification of interphases between customer stakeholders (tech consultants, construction, eng teams.) and internal stakeholders (production eng teams, suppliers eng dpt, SW dvp etc.)
This role is also supporting application engineering teams during pre-order technical engagement on need bases.
Such projects mainly address Datacenter, T&D utillities and Oil and gas applications, but could include other types of large and complex projects requiring system integration.
Working as an integral part of the customer Project execution team, the PE is primarily an office role with very limited travelling to other locations including suppliers, Eaton manufacturing facilities and client offices and construction sites during pre-order/post order phases as needed.
The role requires an experienced, composed, highly motivated, Electrical Engineer who can effectively communicate and work with a wide variety of stakeholders in a dynamic environment and who demonstrate an understanding of all project's electrical requirements.
The Technical Project Engineer needs to work to specifications and liaise with Engineering consultant, General contractors, subcontractors and clients. Technical deviations and scope incremental needs to be flagged to respective project managers to be coordinated with customer before implementation.
**What you'll do:**
+ Customer Interaction and Issue Resolution: Address delivery issues, handle complaints, and support customer relationship management.
+ Administrative and logistical support: support KAM's, Business and Commercial Directors for day-to-day support of the MEA Data Center business, complie and track sales data and prepare sales reporting data
+ Assist in using internal resources to develop proposals that meet/exceed client requirement
+ Assist KAM's to commercially respond to offer proposals
+ Be the go-to admin and support person for documentation and process person to help the KAM's oversee effective handover to post sales service & customer support teams
+ Be willing to learn and be the back up for KAM's on clients business, commercial condition, structure, strategy, operations and challenges.
+ Be highly knowledgeable on General business, structure, strategy, processes and interal systems. Salesforce a priority, SAP perferred but not essential.
+ Be an effective advocate and communicator of the benefits in supporting KAM's and the wider DC team within Eaton organisation
+ Know the the teams and Commerical Directors numbers. Support KAM's to be continuously aware of targets and current business levels within the account for forecast for order intake & revenue information.
+ Collaborate effectively with other departments and EMEA team members related to KAM's accounts
+ Help provide all internal stakeholder and functional departments the account specific guidance and insights required so that they can execute their role and add value to the client.
+ Support the KAM's, Business and Commercial Director to maintain internal multi-lane bridge between Eaton and the client organisation. This may include PLM, BU Engineers, BDM, Marketing, PMO, Services, Sales Operations & Order Management, and Supply Chain
+ Process failitation and Order Management support: Accelerate pricing approvals, and ensure accuracy of order matching and tracking.
+ Identify & build positive relations with all account decision makers & influencers who impact current or future business with Eaton.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelors Degree or Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering or aquivalent
+ 5+ years of related experience in the data center business
+ Technical electrical and data center knowledge no essential but would be advantageous. Some epereince and knowledge in a technology related field desirable.

**Qualifications:**

The primary function of this role is to generate demand and sell life cycle services for Eaton Central Battery Systems, Self Contained Emergency Lighting and Fire Systems and solutions to targeted customers in Abu Dhabi and Northern Emirates with the responsibility to manage all aspects of the customer relationship, providing sales and technical assistance in close co-ordination with authorized service providers, customers, end users, and area sales managers.
**What you'll do:**
+ Achieve annual service revenue goal. Provide accurate sales forecasting and customer relationship management data on revenue streams for the mapped installed base.
+ Understand competitor's offerings and articulate Eaton's competitive advantages for upgrade, replacement, refurishment, fit-out scenarios. Schedule and conduct frequent Face to face visits with customers across the assigned geography, to educate the customer on the component life cycle aspects.
+ Key to this role is an ability to develop the intelligence regarding Eaton's existing installed base, customer needs, preferences and buying habits. Review and interpret customer needs based on the life cycle assessment of the captured installed base within the specified region.
+ Analyze and provide advice for customers' existing equipment status and recommended replacement schedules.
+ Provide support and guidance on service offering portfolio to the authorized service providers within the country.
+ Develop timely and accurate service quotations with the help of centralized resources.
+ Communication skills must be adequate to interface effectively with all external stakeholders including the maintenance/engineering/facility managers on the site.
+ Responsible for technical and administrative support for activities including installation, testing, commissioning, repair, modifications, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, engineering change, upgrades, etc. through the current service provider infrastructure within the country.
+ Responsible for creating customer accounts, company registrations, tracking and recording leads generated
+ Provide customers basic application information via phone or on-site consultation and utilize the service provider network for 24-hour x 7 days a week on-call duty and respond to emergencies with minimal notification.
+ Maintain service log and report of work performed, by self (were need arises) or the service provider network.
+ Continuously improve personal, technical, and professional business skills enabling incumbent to service products to customer's satisfaction through keeping current with product technology as measured by the ability to troubleshoot and repair various products and to instruct others. Demonstrate safety consciousness in equipment handling, electrical and electronic procedures, and the unique situations encountered at diverse work sites
