About you and this role
Manages the companys regional efforts to ensure regulatory compliance for all aspects of importing or exporting ensuring trade regulatory compliance. Requires broadened conceptual and working knowledge and experience in job discipline to perform a range of work assignments. Uses prescribed guidelines or policies in analyzing situations and receives a moderate level of guidance and direction. Provides informal guidance to new team members. Analyzes possible solutions using technical experience judgment and precedents to solve this role you will require understanding of key business drivers for your discipline and function. You will need to be able to expand conceptual and working knowledge related to your discipline or functional area. You are expected to provide informal guidance to new team members and be able to explain complex information to is your responsibility to use technical experience established practices and personal judgement to analyze and resolve straightforward problems. Your performance impacts the quality of your own work and your teams work and requires that you work within established guidelines and policies.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for any import or export related operational issues
- Understands the legal framework and policy restrictions for export or import control regimes and maintains processes for appropriate government agencies and system routines to comply
- Acts as contact point for businesses and other functions for advice and assistance in case of non-standard import/export-related operational issues or questions
- Implements new procedures/changes relative to outcome of e.g. government audits and new regulations
- Investigates regulatory implications for new business flows/material flows
- Requests licenses and ensures compliance with the conditions in the licenses
Qualifications
- Required education: University Degree preferably in Supply Chain Management Business Engineering or other Sciences
- Required experience: 3-6 years of experience in a Supply Chain or Manufacturing environment
- The critical competencies required for success are: supply chain management skills interpersonal effectiveness understanding customer needs and single work process activities and interactions team work taking initiative problem solving skills value creation technical proficiency in use of computer applications analytical skills and project management skills
