• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, and process flows for digital projects.
• Act as a key liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure clear understanding of project objectives.
• Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for new features and system changes within core banking functions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups.
• Design and execute test scenarios, supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) and solution validation.
• Write complex SQL queries to extract and analyze large datasets, generating actionable insights and KPI reports with Power BI.
• Translate analytical findings into clear, data-driven recommendations and presentations for diverse stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or a quantitative discipline.
• 5-9 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong background in Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech.
• High proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL, with hands-on experience in Power BI for data visualization.
• Proven experience working with core-banking systems and exposure to digital transformation projects.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and expertise with JIRA.
• Exceptional written communication skills, adept at working in asynchronous, collaborative environments.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with excellent stakeholder management.

• Relevant professional certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile Scrum, Data Analytics).
• Experience with data modeling, Python or R for advanced analytics, and systems like Flexcube or OFSAA.
• Expertise in digital banking products, customer journey mapping, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, compile, and validate data from multiple internal and external sources.

• Prepare and maintain MIS reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

• Analyze trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to support business decisions.

• Collaborate with department heads to understand reporting requirements.

• Develop dashboards, charts, and visual reports to communicate findings effectively.

• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all reports.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement in data collection and reporting.

• Assist in ad-hoc data analysis projects as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, or related field .

• Proven experience in MIS reporting and data analysis (2+ years preferred).

• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools .

• Knowledge of SQL or database management is an advantage.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

What you’ll do

• Utilize data analysis techniques, technology, and data structures to identify relevant data sets and build KPIs
• Work closely with Stakeholders to execute a data-driven approach using advanced visualizations to enhance risk and performance monitoring in the compliance program.
• Extract, prepare, and model large, complex data sets, employing machine learning, mathematics, statistics, and programming.
• Develop logical and physical data models, data modelling methodologies, metadata management, master data management, and data lineage techniques.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to leverage predictive analytics, machine learning, and other advanced data science capabilities for compliance insights.
• Provide business intelligence, analysis, and compliance-related information to refine regulatory and compliance policies, programs, processes, and tools.
• Design analytics and business intelligence solutions to drive insights and support risk assessment, monitoring, and other compliance activities.
• Create and implement interactive dashboards using visualization tools.
• Develop scalable analytical and reporting solutions using SQL and other relevant tools
• Communicate complex topics effectively to non-technical audiences.
• Identify opportunities, provide analytics-based insights with actionable recommendations and develop innovative new tools for the compliance organization.

What we are looking for

• Strong educational background, ideally a Master’s or BSc in a quantitative discipline (math, statistics, economics, computer science) from an accredited University or College.
• 1-3 years of experience working with complex data sets, data modelling, or data science roles.
• 2-4 years of experience with data scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
• 2-4 years of experience in data visualization, leveraging Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to manage key stakeholder relationships and prioritize tasks.
• Broad understanding of business operations.
• Superior communication, organization, presentation, and data visualization skills.
• Excellent project management and time management skills.
• Ability to generate and execute creative ideas.
• Skill in tailoring content, presentation, and language to various audiences.

Job Description:
FGi Global Solutions is seeking a motivated and skilled Data Analyst to join our dynamic team in Dubai. This position focuses on data analytics and business intelligence to identify, assess, and prioritize business opportunities in government and international contracting sectors. The Data Analyst will play a crucial role in leveraging data to support the sales team’s decision-making process and ensure FGi’s competitive advantage in bidding for key projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive intelligence in U.S., UN, and EU contracting markets.
• Business Intelligence: Use analytics tools and platforms to gather insights that support the bid/no-bid decisions for key projects.
• Opportunity Assessment: Evaluate and rank business opportunities by aligning them with FGi’s strengths, capabilities, and market positioning, and as well as assigning it to the sales team member aligning with their expertise and past performance.
• Market Research: Conduct research on prospective clients, competitors, and industry trends to build comprehensive business intelligence reports.
• Reporting & Dashboards: Create clear, actionable reports and dashboards that provide insights for decision-making by the sales and leadership teams.
• Client Interaction: Engage with former/existing clients to gather insights on future needs and to inform bidding strategies.
• Tool Utilization: Work with industry intelligence platforms and tools to track relevant government contracts and funding opportunities. FGi will provide training and support.

Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training to improve proficiency with data analytics tools and government contracting platforms.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Some industry experience, preferably in data analytics, business intelligence, or government contracting.
• Familiarity with data analysis techniques and tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar).
• Understanding of business intelligence concepts and how to apply them in the capture process.
• Basic knowledge of U.S., UN, or EU contracting regulations and processes.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities and risks.
• Excellent communication skills to present data-driven insights and work collaboratively with internal teams.
• Knowledge of French is a plus but not required.
