As a Data Analytics Specialist you will facilitate and support the data capture, data modelling and testing to enable real-time data- driven decisions that contributes to business success. Identify data capture requirements and, along with inputs from relevant teams across the department, design and implement analytics solutions using proper analytical tools. Support the development and delivery of department data roadmap in collaboration with all internal teams and other relevant internal stakeholders, such as IT and Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) teams.
In This Role You Will
- Understand requirements for tracking, measurement and reporting across assigned department
- Develop and maintain interactive Dashboards with tools like Power BI and MicroStrategy to support various stakeholders with a focus of automated, dynamic self-service data landscape.
- First line responsibility for timely data delivery, dashboard uptime and accuracy and escalate any data quality issues.
- Lead on the manipulation of existing programming logics and structures to fit changing technologies and business demands.
- Work with Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) data engineering team, & Emirates Group IT, to test and validate the data ingestion results and quality to support delivery of the overall agreed plan.
- Build expertise in data engineering tools via languages such as Dataiku / Python, and Data warehouses such as Snowflake, to assist analysts on ad-hoc data capture into Data Warehouse.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) on data capture by ED&A into assigned department domain at the detailed level, and address data completion and quality issues. Liaise with ED&A data engineers to do the fixes as needed to ensure deployment as per plan and the requirement.
- Understanding of various visualization & data warehousing tools to support various stakeholders with a focus of automated, dynamic self-service data landscape.
- Support the ED&A data governance team in addressing data governance requirements on assigned domain and to build data catalogues. Work with the ED&A Data Governance team to drive Master & Reference Data and Metadata Quality and curate quality content in the Enterprise Data Platform of the Emirates Group.
- Support the team to enhance knowledge sharing across assigned department in understanding and utilizing the Analytics products to make data-backed decisions.
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Operational Research, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology etc.
- 5+ years of experience within a similar business area where there has been a strong focus on data analytics, with 2 of those years in a supervisory role.
- Business Intelligence Knowledge and deep understanding of Power BI Platform and good knowledge on MicroStrategy tool.
- Good understanding on Data Science, Machine Learning and AI.
- Good understanding of Python, Snowflake and SQL based data integration.
- Good understanding of Microsoft suite of data collaboration and process tools like Power Apps, SharePoint.
- Collaborative contributor in the sense that they can build trusted relationships and wide networks across a range of teams and individuals in order to deliver business benefits.
- Good understanding on Data Governance and its documentation for Developers and users.
- Ability to understand different user groups needs and translate those into workable solutions suitable for all user groups.
- Clear communication skills, written and verbal.
- Experience of working in a multi-cultural expatriate environment.
