Job Specific Knowledge and Skills:

• Expertise in enterprise data architecture, cloud data platforms, and big data technologies.

• Experience in data governance, metadata management, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong background in ETL/ELT processes, API-based data integrations, and event-driven architectures.
• Ability to optimize AI/ML pipelines through structured data architecture frameworks.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Spark, and cloud-based data engineering tools.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, big data engineering, or cloud data solutions.
• Proven expertise in Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud-based data ecosystems (with certifications, Azure required).
• Experience with data modeling tools, metadata management, and data governance platforms.
• Strong understanding of data mesh, data fabric, and decentralized data architectures.
• Background in leading and managing data architecture teams in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with BI/analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

The Role
Role Description: Data Architecture Strategy & Design: • Define and implement enterprise-wide data architecture strategies, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. • Develop data models, pipelines, and storage solutions that support structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. • Ensure alignment between data architecture, analytics, AI/ML models, and business intelligence (BI) platforms. • Drive the adoption of data lakehouse, cloud data platforms (Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery), and distributed computing frameworks. • Work closely with data engineering and analytics teams to optimize data pipelines and transformations. Cloud & Big Data Ecosystem Integration: • Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based data solutions, ensuring seamless integration with enterprise applications. • Define best practices for data ingestion, ETL/ELT, and real-time data streaming (Kafka, Spark, Databricks, etc.). • Ensure interoperability between on-premise, hybrid, and multi-cloud data environments. • Optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval across cloud platforms, improving cost efficiency and performance. Data Governance & Compliance: • Implement data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and other regulatory standards. • Define metadata management, data lineage, and data cataloging best practices. • Work with security teams to enforce data access controls, encryption, and role-based access management (RBAC). • Ensure data quality and integrity across the organization’s analytical and AI platforms. Data Integration & Interoperability: • Develop and maintain enterprise data integration frameworks, enabling smooth data exchange between systems. • Lead API-driven data integrations, event-driven architectures, and message queues for real-time data movement. • Establish data fabric and data mesh approaches, enabling a scalable, decentralized data ecosystem. • Work closely with business units, AI teams, and application developers to provide accessible, high-quality data. AI & Advanced Analytics Enablement: • Support AI and ML model development by ensuring high-quality data availability. • Define data architecture principles that optimize AI pipelines and feature engineering processes. • Work with AI engineers to deploy and operationalize AI models in cloud and edge environments. • Ensure efficient data versioning, feature stores, and reproducibility frameworks for AI workflows. Leadership & Team Development: • Lead a team of data architects, data modelers, and data integration specialists. • Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous learning. • Develop training programs and best practices for data architecture governance, performance optimization, and security. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Science, Engineering, and Business Intelligence teams.

Requirements

As a Data Management Officer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the Engineering Department by ensuring accurate, timely, and organized handling of all technical data, engineering logs, submittals, and documentation. The Data Management Officer plays a key role in ensuring data integrity, version control, and traceability across all MEP design, coordination, and construction documentation within the projects.

About Your Team

You will work closely with the Engineering, Procurement, Planning and Construction teams to ensure that all documentation is properly controlled, accessible, and aligned with both project standards and internal procedures. You'll support internal audits, maintain filing systems, and help ensure the seamless flow of information that drives successful project execution.

Your Role

As a Data Management Officer, you will be responsible for:

• Maintain up-to-date engineering document trackers, logs, and registers (e.g., drawing submittals, material submittals, method statements).
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Planning, and Construction teams to collect, verify, and upload accurate technical data.
• Manage version control and document status tracking for all drawings and engineering documents.
• Ensure proper archiving of engineering files, both electronic and hard copies, as per project and company standards.
• Generate weekly/monthly reports on engineering submittal status, approvals, and outstanding items.
• Support the Engineering Manager by providing data inputs for technical meetings, design reviews, and coordination sessions.
• Liaise with Document Control and QA/QC to ensure engineering data complies with ISO, project, and client requirements.
• Flag delays, missing data, or discrepancies in logs and escalate for resolution.
• Assist in the digital transformation of engineering data workflows, supporting tools like Aconex, Procore, or other DMS platforms used on the projects.

What We’re Looking For

Experience:

2–3 years of experience in data/document management, ideally in an MEP or construction engineering environment.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Management, or a related field.
• Familiarity with engineering documents, MEP drawings, and submittal procedures.
• Proficient in Excel and document management systems (Aconex, SharePoint, or similar).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Clear understanding of engineering workflows and submittal cycles.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Integrity, discretion, and respect for confidentiality of project data.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 and basic quality systems
• Familiarity with project QA/QC requirements, forms, and workflows.
• Familiarity with construction environment
• Awareness of HSE practices in a construction environment

• Train and guide subcontractors and internal teams on proper data input and usage
• Ensure accurate, standardized data attributes across all systems
• Support internal QA/QC teams with custom reports and real-time metrics
• Maintain robust data logs and registers across all key project areas

What We’re Looking For

• Graduate with at least 3 years’ experience in data management or a related field
• Strong knowledge of EDMS platforms (Aconex preferred)
• Proven skills in Power BI and Microsoft Office
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Experience working in construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects is a plus

• Take charge of project-wide data integrity across Aconex or other EDMS platforms
• Design and implement smart workflows and processes for smooth data flow
• Develop live Power BI dashboards to track submittals, inspections, NCRs, and more
• Extract, clean, and analyze data for performance trends and management insights
• Train and guide subcontractors and internal teams on proper data input and usage
