Job Description

Demand Planning Executive is a strategic thinker who can manage and validate forecast data, build strong relationships with customers and partners, and communicate key insights to drive improvements in supply chain processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in demand planning within the pharmaceutical, medical consumables, or FMCG industries and a passion for optimizing supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Forecast Data Management and Validations

  • Manage SKU-level data and ensure all systems are accurately updated.
  • Validate historical sales data across various systems and incorporate market intelligence and seasonal profiling for accurate forecasts.
  • Develop demand forecasts at multiple aggregation levels and for different time horizons.
  • Manage SKU linking and oversee the product life cycle.
  • Plan and forecast promotional activity.
  • Raise business-aligned purchase orders to improve availability, optimize working capital, and reduce waste.

Customer and Partner Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners to align business objectives.
  • Challenge ideas constructively when necessary to ensure business alignment.
  • Share critical knowledge to ensure cross-functional alignment and continuous improvement.

Reporting & Communication

  • Produce timely KPI reports.
  • Develop routine and ad hoc demand and supply-related reports for leadership.
  • Lead forecast alignment meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely confirmation of all purchase orders with suppliers.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably with additional Supply Chain certifications).
  • 5-7 years of experience in Demand Planning, ideally within the Pharmaceuticals/Medical Consumables/FMCG industries.
  • Experience with Demand Planning Systems; SAP knowledge is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen ability to apply critical thinking.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Results-oriented with a positive attitude and the ability to drive change.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI (preferred).
  • Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate forecast analysis and tracking.

  • Build 24-months rolling in market sales and shipment SKU level forecast for all relevant markets, provide visibility into demand risks and opportunities, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
  • Partner with regional supply planners and Customer Service & Logistics team to ensure stock availability against the customer orders.
  • Monitor inventory health metrics, including inventory days of coverage (DOH), availability, service levels and stock obsolescence risks.
  • Provide insights to influence stock/shipment re-allocation decisions of internal or external stakeholders to maintain freshness and availability.
  • Review and align the orders received from the customers with customers/commercial team to make sure they are in line with the prompted orders and business outlook.
  • Ensure that supply related constraints are addressed, phase-in/phase-out plans are done and discussed with the relevant plant or supply chain teams and actioned.
  • Be the supply chain spoke for new product launches ensure that these initiatives are executed as per the targeted volumes, values and timelines.
  • Lead Demand Reviews and Demand Validation Meetings as part of our S&OP process, participate in Market Business Reviews
  • Implement and manage CPFR (Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment) processes with key distributor partners to enhance forecast reliability, availability and service levels.
  • Champion continuous improvement in forecasting processes, planning tools, and data quality.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Economics or a related field
  • 5-8 years’ experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, or S&OP within the FMCG sector
  • Proven experience in distributor-led markets and managing demand processes across multiple geographies

  2. Successfully led at least 2 large-scale Oracle Cloud implementations, from project planning to post-go-live support.
  3. Can manage senior stakeholders in Business and IT with ease.
  4. CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) background is good to have.
  5. Strong understanding of both the functional and technical aspects of Oracle Cloud Supply Planning.
