We are looking for a passionate Demand Planning Manager to manage Distributor Markets in Middle Eastern and African Markets, based out of Dubai, UAE.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the demand planning process for MEA markets using statistical capabilities, market data and inputs from all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build 24-months rolling in market sales and shipment SKU level forecast for all relevant markets, provide visibility into demand risks and opportunities, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
  • Partner with regional supply planners and Customer Service & Logistics team to ensure stock availability against the customer orders.
  • Monitor inventory health metrics, including inventory days of coverage (DOH), availability, service levels and stock obsolescence risks.
  • Provide insights to influence stock/shipment re-allocation decisions of internal or external stakeholders to maintain freshness and availability.
  • Review and align the orders received from the customers with customers/commercial team to make sure they are in line with the prompted orders and business outlook.
  • Ensure that supply related constraints are addressed, phase-in/phase-out plans are done and discussed with the relevant plant or supply chain teams and actioned.
  • Be the supply chain spoke for new product launches ensure that these initiatives are executed as per the targeted volumes, values and timelines.
  • Lead Demand Reviews and Demand Validation Meetings as part of our S&OP process, participate in Market Business Reviews
  • Implement and manage CPFR (Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment) processes with key distributor partners to enhance forecast reliability, availability and service levels.
  • Champion continuous improvement in forecasting processes, planning tools, and data quality.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Economics or a related field
  • 5-8 years’ experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, or S&OP within the FMCG sector
  • Proven experience in distributor-led markets and managing demand processes across multiple geographies
  • Strong analytical and numerical ability, proficiency in Excel and planning tools (SAP APO/IBP, OMP)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across functions and regions with effective negotiation skills
  • A proven “doer” who acts with speed and agility to deliver results
  • Deep understanding of forecasting methodologies, inventory dynamics and S&OP processes
  • Experience in CPFR and collaborative forecasting with customers/distributors
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Fluency in English

What you'll be doing

You will be reporting to the Manager – Supply Chain and will lead the S&OP process, ensuring optimal stock levels, and balancing supply with demand to support business growth and customer satisfaction. This role will drive demand planning, network optimization, and capacity planning while ensuring cross functional alignment, including monthly demand plans, consumption models, new product launches, etc.

Key Responsibilities S&OP Process management:
  • Develop and lead the end-to-end Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, between sales forecasts, supply plans, inventory, and financial plans through facilitating clear communication and data flow
  • Facilitate monthly S&OP meetings, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead the preparation of the Product Portfolio, Demand Review, Supply Review, and S&OP decks within the planning cycle.

Demand & Supply Planning:

  • Continuously improve the quality of demand forecasting by measuring forecast accuracy and bias, delivering root cause analysis, and preparing and executing action plans.
  • Improve the efficiency of supply planning and purchasing to minimize excess stock and stockouts by fostering close collaboration between the supply chain, marketing, and commercial teams.
  • Analyze fill rates and on shelf-availability rates and develop and execute action plans to minimize sales losses due to stockouts.
  • Drive continuous improvement of key supply chain metrics by mastering the supply and demand planning processes and tools and facilitating data-driven decisions.
Inventory & Replenishment Management
  • Optimize inventory levels across stores, warehouses, and e-commerce channels.
  • Develop strategies for new product launches, seasonal stock planning, and slow-moving inventory management.
  • Work closely with logistics and warehouse teams to improve replenishment efficiency

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication

  • Drive collaboration and transparency across departments such as sales, marketing, supply chain, finance, and retail teams to prioritize and create a consensus-driven demand plan and align business goals.
  • Provide insights on sales trends, risks, and opportunities to leadership for strategic decision-making.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Define and track KPIs such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and service levels.
  • Use data analytics and forecasting tools to drive continuous improvement in the S&OP process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency and customer satisfaction.

  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely receipt of materials and products.
  • Optimize supply chain processes to reduce costs and enhance delivery timelines.
  • Resolve conflicts between capacity constraints and demand fluctuations effectively.
  • Prepare detailed reports on sales, inventory, and operations planning for stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication and problem-solving processes across various business units.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement initiatives within the S&OP framework.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior team members in the S&OP process.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in sales & operations planning or similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in utilizing data to drive decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficient in S&OP software and tools, along with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate meetings and workshops with diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
