Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Industrial Designer with a strong background in rolling stock design to join our Project Management Consultant (PMC) team. You will review and approve design submissions from the Design and Build (D&B) contractor, focusing on train interiors, external styling, and overall aesthetics. Your role is to ensure designs meet project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards.
Roles and Responsibilities:- Review and approve rolling stock design submissions from the D&B contractor, ensuring compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards.
- Evaluate design aspects related to train interiors, external styling, ergonomics, and overall look and feel.
- Coordinate closely with rail operators and manufacturers to deliver turnkey design solutions.
- Collaborate with manufacturers and designers on all elements of rail design, from strategy and customer experience to branding, livery, visualization, industrial design, interiors, and digital journey.
- Develop imagery, movies, and VR experiences for stakeholder engagement, advertising, and promotional purposes.
- Provide technical guidance to address design deficiencies and improve aesthetics and functionality.
- Ensure passenger comfort, safety, and accessibility are integrated into designs.
- Oversee implementation during construction, ensuring adherence to standards.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to verify proper execution.
- Monitor compliance with design protocols, materials, and finishes.
- Coordinate resolution of design issues with contractors.
- Work with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of design elements.
- Liaise with authorities and stakeholders for regulatory compliance.
- Train and support project staff on design and quality procedures.
- Review and approve technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field.
- Extensive experience in rolling stock engineering.
- Knowledge of rolling stock systems and industry standards.
- 10-12 years of experience in industrial design focusing on rolling stock.
- Experience with rail/metro vehicle design, interiors, customer experience, digital elements, and aesthetics.
- Strong knowledge of design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes specific to rolling stock.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- UAE project experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to join quickly is preferred.
