Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Product Design & User Experience
- Design innovative, user-centric packaging concepts for makeup, skincare, and fragrance categories, along with accessories.
- Develop mood boards, sketches, 2D renderings, and 3D models to communicate design intent.
- Translate brand values and product briefs into unique and feasible packaging solutions.
- Present concepts and prototypes to internal stakeholders and external partners .
Technical & Industrial Feasibility
- Create detailed technical drawings and dimensioned packaging component plans (bottles, caps, mechanisms, etc.) in coordination with the packaging engineering team.
- Conduct functional analysis to ensure product usability, assembly feasibility and ergonomic performance.
- Build and maintain technical datasheets and Bills of Materials (BOM) for each development.
- Perform Design FMEA to anticipate potential failure modes and ensure robustness of packaging solutions.
- Validate dimensional chain analysis and tolerance stacks in collaboration with suppliers and packaging engineers.
- Participate in technical reviews (Design for Manufacturing, Design for Assembly) to ensure industrial feasibility and production readiness.
- Work closely with packaging engineers and suppliers to validate materials, finishes, and technical constraints.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Prototyping
- Manage the 3D laboratory to print internal mockups for quick decision-making with top management.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure design intent is maintained through development and industrialization.
Innovation, Research & Trends
- Stay up to date with trends in beauty, fashion, materials, and sustainability.
- Contribute to packaging innovation by exploring new mechanisms, gestures, and sensorial experiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in industrial design, preferably in the cosmetics, luxury, or FMCG sector.
- Proficiency in functional dimensioning standards (ISO) and technical drawing interpretation.
- Hands-on experience creating manufacturing-ready technical drawings for packaging components.
- Strong understanding of fit and function relationships, tolerance analysis, and mechanical interface constraints.
- Strong design portfolio showcasing creative and technical packaging work.
- Proficient in 3D design software (SolidWorks, Keyshot) and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (injection molding, metal, glass, decoration techniques, etc.).
- Solid understanding of sustainability in packaging and material selection.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, curious, and passionate about beauty and consumer experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with international suppliers and manufacturing partners.
