The Project Manager Direct is responsible for delivering a product or service project to an external customer and is accountable for the project's revenue and profitability results. This role involves developing best practices across multiple customers or the Business Line.
Note: This position can report to either the Regional Head of Project Execution, Program Manager Direct, or Senior Project Manager Direct.
Responsibilities:- Responsible for the overall project performance.
- Maintain a strong relationship with the relevant customer.
- Organize project launch meetings and ensure all requirements are completed according to company procedures.
- Ensure the project is managed in accordance with the project management system and procedures, establishing and aligning project-specific procedures as required by contract.
- Implement project controls including contract management, claims management, risk management, and change management.
- Identify and mitigate scope changes through Management of Change (MOCs).
- Provide updates and forecasts on project completion, cash milestones, margins, on-time delivery, and resources.
- Act as the main point of contact for all project administration tasks with the customer.
- Foster collaboration between engineering teams, packages, and systems as applicable.
- Document opportunities for continuous improvement and lessons learned for future reference.
- Lead all aspects of the project team, including engineering, project services, manufacturing, etc., maintaining regular communication and agenda.
