Job Brief

The Distribution Manager oversees the logistics, supply chain, and distribution of medical devices across the Gulf region, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

The Distribution Manager oversees the efficient operation of the warehouse, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations for medical devices, and managing fleet operations.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Adhere to all Zahrawi Policies and Procedures as applicable.

Warehouse Management & Operations

  • Work with the Warehouse Line Managers to oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of medical devices to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels and manage inventory control systems.
  • Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) for storage, handling, and distribution.
  • Ensure all medical devices are stored under appropriate conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.) per manufacturer and regulatory requirements.
  • Operational Performance Reports:
    • Monitor and analyze operational metrics to identify areas for improvement in warehouse efficiency and team performance.
    • Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports, focusing on inventory levels, accuracy, stock turnover, and warehouse productivity.
    • Provide regular reports on warehouse performance, fleet efficiency, and compliance metrics to senior management.
    • Create real-time dashboards to track operational KPIs, including picking accuracy, order processing times, and shipment delivery rates.

Inventory Management & Reporting

  • Ensure accurate stock levels for medical devices.
  • Use inventory management systems to track incoming and outgoing products.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor the expired/near expiry products monthly and prepare a report to be submitted to the QA & RA Manager.
  • Approve the sales returns and follow up on the approvals necessary to avoid any delays.
  • Inventory Accuracy Reports:
    • Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory checks to ensure alignment with system records.
    • Analyze inventory data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
    • Maintain an inventory accuracy target (e.g., 99% or higher) and report monthly progress to management.
  • Stock Availability Reports:
    • Generate real-time reports for critical items to support just-in-time (JIT) inventory management.
  • Slow-Moving and Obsolete Inventory (SLOB):
    • Identify and report on slow-moving, excess, or obsolete inventory.
    • Generate quarterly reports on inventory aging, highlighting items nearing expiration or regulatory non-compliance.
  • Expiry and Regulatory Compliance Reports:
    • Maintain a log of expiry dates for all inventory and generate monthly reports to flag items requiring action.
  • Inventory Costing Reports:
    • Prepare detailed inventory valuation reports, including metrics such as carrying costs, shrinkage, and write-offs.
  • Inbound and Outbound Inventory Tracking:
    • Generate reports on inbound shipments to monitor supplier performance, delivery times, and discrepancies.
  • KPI Reporting:
    • Track and report key inventory KPIs, such as inventory turnover ratio, days of inventory on hand (DOH), and order fill rates.

Fleet Management

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of the delivery fleet to ensure timely and efficient distribution of medical devices.
  • Optimize delivery routes and schedules for cost efficiency and timely delivery.
  • Ensure all vehicles comply with local transport regulations, including licensing, permits, and inspections.
  • Maintain the vehicle service, maintenance, permit, registration renewal, Nuclear Medicine permit, Nuclear Medicine driver’s licenses, Civil defense, Cargo clearing permit and gate passes.
  • Fleet Management Reports:
    • Provide detailed analyses of fleet performance, including metrics such as on-time delivery rates, vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs.
  • Fleet Management Support:
    • Maintain vehicle maintenance logs, driver schedules, and fleet compliance documents.

Regulatory Compliance Across GCC Countries

  • Ensure full compliance with local, regional, and international medical device regulations, including ISO and other applicable standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date licenses, permits, and certifications required by health authorities, Civil Defense, and Municipality.
  • Work closely with regulatory bodies such as given below for inspections, permits, and certifications.
    • UAE: MOHAP, DHA, and HAAD.
    • Qatar: Ministry of Health (MOH).
    • Bahrain: NHRA
    • Oman: Ministry of Health (MOH).
    • All Countries- Civil Defense & Municipality.
  • Regulatory and Compliance Reporting:
    • Prepare and submit compliance reports for audits by health authorities, Civil Défense, and Municipality.

Safety and Risk Management

  • Develop and maintain a robust emergency response plan for the warehouse, including fire safety, spill control, and first-aid measures.
  • Safety and Incident Reporting:
    • Document and analyze all safety incidents, near misses, and non-compliance issues.

Admin

  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, suppliers, and clients.
  • Represent Zahrawi in the MOH and different authorities.
  • Documentation Management:
    • Maintain and organize all warehouse-related documentation, including delivery notes, invoices, inventory records, and compliance certificates.
  • Staff Administration:
    • Maintain employee records, including attendance, training certifications, and performance reviews.

Team Management

  • Recruit, train, and develop warehouse and logistics staff, ensuring the team has the required skills and knowledge to perform efficiently.
  • Team Performance Reports:
    • Develop regular reports on team performance, including training progress, task completion rates, and adherence to KPIs.
  • Team Management:
    • Oversee daily schedules and task assignments for warehouse staff.

Continuous Improvement and Reporting

  • Financial and Budget Reports:
    • Prepare detailed budget reports, including warehouse expenses, fleet costs, and variance analyses.
    • Track costs related to inventory loss, shrinkage, and write-offs, providing detailed justifications and solutions.
  • Track and report the impact of operational improvements on efficiency, cost savings, and team productivity.
  • Document results of Lean or Six Sigma initiatives and provide management with before-and-after comparisons.
  • Reporting and Data Entry:
    • Compile and submit weekly and monthly reports, such as inventory summaries, fleet performance, and KPI metrics.
  • Procurement Support:
    • Coordinate with procurement teams for supplies, tools, and resources needed for warehouse operations.
    • Maintain records of purchase orders, supplier agreements, and delivery schedules.
  • Budget and Expense Tracking:
    • Maintain records of warehouse expenses, including utilities, maintenance, and operational costs.
    • Assist in preparing annual budgets and track spending to identify cost-saving opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS

Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree - preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.

Experience: 10-15 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in medical devices or a regulated industry.

Job Skills: Warehouse Management - Distribution Management - Quality Assurance - Good Communication skills & English language - Strong leadership skills.

Position Summary

The Distribution Sales Manager will lead and grow partnerships with distributors in Egypt & Libya, ensuring business growth, profitability, and market penetration. This role focuses on driving distributor performance to meet or exceed annual sales targets, building long-term trust-based relationships, and executing the regional channel strategy in collaboration with the Country Leader and Channel Development team. Success in this role will be measured by:

Responsibilities
  • Deploy Distributor Management Process (DMP) and ensure standard work practices are consistently applied.
  • Evaluate distributor sales pipelines and implement demand generation activities when necessary. Achieve sales revenue, profit, and market share targets for both brands.
  • Drive Growth initiatives in Completes and Aftermarket.
  • Select, onboard, and manage high-performing distributors to represent CompAir & Gardner Denver brands.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with distributors to assess performance, pipeline, and improvement plans.
  • Drive implementation of sales tools, CRM, and standard work processes across the distribution network.

2. Business Development

  • Build a joint growth plan with each distributor to ensure sustainable long-term performance.
  • Lead initiatives to capture major projects and key accounts through distributors.
  • Develop financial and legal acumen relevant to distribution business management, including understanding distributor contracts, P&L, and organizational structures. Support distributors in tendering, pricing strategy, and closing large deals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in target industries (oil & gas, manufacturing, utilities, etc.).

4. Marketing & Brand Positioning

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to drive brand visibility, campaigns, and product launches in the region. Drive Demand generation leads while focusing on customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure consistent brand representation and compliance with brand guidelines.
  • Organize participation in trade shows, seminars, and customer events.
  • Prepare accurate monthly forecasts, pipeline reports, and business performance updates.
  • Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and pricing dynamics.
  • Ensure distributor compliance with commercial policies, ethical standards, and contractual agreements.
  • Monitor and update distributor installed base data and assess aftermarket parts consumption accordingly.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Achieving annual bookings, revenue and profitability targets for CompAir & Gardner Denver brands.
  • Distributor performance scorecards (sales growth, market coverage, conversion rates).
  • Driving key growth initiatives in both completes and Aftermarket.
  • Increase in market share and penetration in target industries.
  • Number of new accounts and projects won through distributors.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (B.Tech/B.E).
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years in industrial sales, with at least 3 years in distributor/channel management in the Middle East or other regions
  • Proven track record in selling industrial equipment (preferably compressed air systems, pumps, blowers, or related machinery).
  • Experience in managing multi-brand portfolios is desirable.
  • Strong business acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Self-motivated with high ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment and travel extensively across the region.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office Suite, sales analytics and data-driven decision making capability
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.

Travel Requirement

  • 50–60% travel across the region to meet with distributors, customers, and attend events.

Qualifications

8–10 years of progressive finance experience, preferably in IT distribution or trading sectors.

Preferred Skills
  • Strong understanding of IFRS.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, reporting tools, and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Your Role:

As a Distribution Account Manager, you will play a key role in expanding IKA’s market presence through our specialist dealer network.

You will be responsible for driving revenue, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring the successful market introduction of our innovative products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue and brand growth through the distribution channel in your assigned region.
  • Expand and manage the IKA dealer network to increase market penetration.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new and existing partners to strengthen our market position.
  • Achieve sales and profitability targets independently, aligned with strategic product group goals.
  • Increase market share and enhance customer satisfaction through proactive relationship management.
  • Coordinate product launches with partners and ensure successful market entry.
  • Deliver regular training sessions on existing and new products to empower our dealers.
  • Actively manage dealer relationships and conduct contract and pricing negotiations.
  • Provide technical and application support in collaboration with internal departments.
  • Ensure seamless communication of product updates, pricing, and marketing materials.
  • Plan and execute joint marketing and sales initiatives, including roadshows, exhibitions, and local events.
  • Host Q&A sessions to address dealer inquiries and support their success.
  • Approximately 50 travel days per year to support partners on-site and strengthen relationships.

Your Profile – What You Bring:

  • Degree in a technical or scientific field, or equivalent business experience with industry knowledge.
  • Proven experience in sales and dealer management, ideally 3 years or more.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in English ;Arabic, French or Germanis a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with a high level of motivation and goal orientation.
  • Based in Abu Dhabi (UAE), Dubai (UAE), or Riyadh (Saudi Arabia)
  • Willingness to travel
