Your broad responsibilities will include helping to define and execute against the distribution partner program, establishing business and technical relationships with AWS distributors in the market, and managing the day-to-day interactions with these organizations to build long-term business and marketing opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess both a business background that enables them to drive engagement and interact at the CXO / VP level, as well as a technical background that enables them to interact with software developers and architects. She/he should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions. The candidate should have experience working with large distributors, VARs, SIs, ITO providers, etc., and be able to manage complex partnerships, working across various teams and earning trust. The candidate should be a self-starter, self-motivated, a driver who gets things done, with a bias for action and delivering results.
Key job responsibilities
- Serve as a key member of the MENAT Partner team in helping to drive the overall AWS Distribution strategy and RTM.
- Have a broad understanding of cloud technologies.
- Develop a group of committed partners and distributors, including a plan to recruit, onboard, educate, and measure them in-country and regionally.
- Develop and execute the strategic business development plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g., specialist partner teams, program teams, sales, marketing, legal, support, etc.).
- Work with specific distributors/partners to develop the business value proposition for using our services and solutions for prospects and partners; educate and enable them for using AWS solutions.
- Implement plans and execute upon partner-originated pipeline.
- Prepare and drive quarterly business reviews with senior management regarding progress against the budgeted plan and any potential roadblocks.
- Manage complex contract negotiations and serve as a liaison to the legal group.
- Develop long-term strategic partnerships in support of the market strategy.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in online advertising or high-tech products/services.
