**What you'll be doing:**
Ensure continuous operations and monitoring around the clock, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year on a round the clock shift basis and be co-located with RTA operation team at Dubai Intelligent Traffic Systems Center (DITSC), Al Barsha to perform the following activities:
+ In coordination with the designated RTA Manager, the operator shall liaise with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. Upon request from relevant stakeholders, system logs must be collected in collaboration with the maintenance team, adhering strictly to the defined collection timeframe.
+ Regular system checks are to be conducted with the On-Site Engineer and/or Technician, while faults in both out-station and in-station equipment must be promptly reported to the designated departments or agencies.
+ The operator is responsible for monitoring the operational status of the TRAM intersections and pedestrian crossings, including routine checks on signalized and pedestrian junctions.
+ All faults must be reported, managed, and escalated as per the prescribed communication matrix, with continuous follow-up on previously reported issues and coordination with maintenance teams on any outstanding faults.
+ Monitor all intersections listed in the Tram Junctions List using the Siemens Urban Traffic Control (UTC) system and Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) to detect any new events, incidents, or faults that may impact the safe and efficient operation of the Dubai Tram system or the surrounding road network.
+ Identify and report any events, incidents, or faults observed through the UTC or CCTV systems to the TRA Traffic Management Centre (TMC), Tram Operations Control Centre (OCC), and other relevant internal and external stakeholders.
+ Log all events, incidents, and faults in the designated tracking system. Respond promptly to any reports that may affect tram or road operations, and escalate to the appropriate stakeholders including TRA TMC, Tram OCC, TRA Maintenance, and Tram Maintenance teams.
+ Provide operational support and knowledge transfer to RTA Operators as needed, assisting them in daily operations upon request.
+ Raise Service Requests (SRs) for any faults in Enterprise Maximo and Tram Maximo systems in accordance with the Service Level Agreement (SLA) between TRA and RAA. Follow up on rectification activities and confirm completion of work.
+ Coordinate the reporting and resolution of faults related to both in-station and out-station equipment with the relevant departments within the Traffic and Roads Agency. Monitor all outstanding issues and ensure timely closure in line with approved timelines.
+ Provide coordination and support to the On-Site Engineer (OSE) and On-Site Technician (OST) assigned to the project.
+ Support and coordinate with other stakeholder teams conducting site activities, as per instructions issued by RTA.
**What required skills you'll bring:**
+ Diploma in Traffic, Electrical or Electronics or Communications with minimum 5 years' experience out of which 1-3 are in a similar role
+ Ability to communicate in English and Arabic
+ Commitment to safe work practices

Role Summary: The Customs Clearance Specialist is responsible for handling all customs-related processes for local and international shipments in the UAE. This includes preparing and submitting accurate documentation, coordinating with UAE customs authorities (such as Dubai Customs, Abu Dhabi Customs, and free zone customs), and working with freight forwarders to ensure timely clearance of goods.
The role helps prevent delays by making sure all paperwork meets UAE customs and trade requirements. The specialist also stays up to date with local laws, GCC customs rules, and VAT regulations to keep the company compliant and avoid fines or issues.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Customs Documentation: Prepare and process all customs documentation, including import/export declarations, commercial invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other relevant paperwork.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable customs laws, regulations, and trade agreements, as well as company policies.
- Customs Clearance Process: Submit customs declarations to customs authorities and ensure timely clearance of goods to avoid delays or fines.
- Liaison with Customs Authorities: Act as the primary point of contact between customs authorities, shipping companies, and the company to resolve any customs issues or discrepancies.
- Tariff Classification & Duties: Calculate and verify customs duties, tariffs, and taxes, ensuring accuracy and minimizing costs.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customs documents and transactions.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or delays related to customs clearance, including working with customs brokers or third-party service providers.
- Consultation & Advice: Provide guidance to internal teams or clients regarding import/export regulations, classification of goods, and documentation requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the customs clearance process, such as non-compliance or delays, and take proactive measures to mitigate these risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in logistics and supply chain management
- Minimum 4 years of Customs Clearance or Cross Border experience required.
