Key Responsibilities:
Lead econometric modeling and forecasting activities, including data gathering, cleaning, and validation.
Conduct desk-based research on policy and regulatory developments, political and security dynamics, and stakeholder mapping around new projects and investments.
Identify and qualify external data needs, integrating these into data and models, including macroeconomic simulations and custom benchmarks.
Provide technical leadership in analysis and reporting of insights, tailoring support to clients' needs and expectations.
Collaborate with senior colleagues to design technical approaches to client problems and communicate these approaches clearly both internally and externally.
Presentation of project findings, capabilities, and methodologies to senior personnel, including government ministers and C-suite executives.
Oversee project management, coordinating across internal teams to ensure deliverables are correctly sequenced and executed.
Required Qualifications:
A master's-level education in economics, econometrics, statistics or related fields. A comprehensive understanding of macroeconomics, microeconomics, trade, commerce and geopolitics. At least six years experience in economic modeling and/or large datasets for delivering insights to clients.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with statistical analysis programs like EViews (ideally), R, Stata, and Python. Efficient use of AI agents for research.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse project stakeholders, both external and internal. Intellectual curiosity, openness to collaboration, and a resilient attitude.
Fluent Arabic preferred but not essential.
