**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer specializing in Dry Utilities to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of dry utility systems, including power distribution and telecommunications infrastructure for various projects in the region.
**Job Duties:**
+ Ability to manage a design and approval process interfacing with the project team, Clients and Stakeholders In-depth and strong understanding of Abu Dhabi/Dubai/UAE/ KSA and Qatar Authority Guidelines is a must
+ Experienced in BIM In-depth understanding of relevant software is a must, Revit knowledge is additional.
+ Understanding from Concept master plan stage to Detailed Master Plan in terms of utility corridor space proofing, ROW, coordination with wet, roads, transportation, landscape and building teams
+ Develop Master plan report, derive demand load calculations, tie in point requirements, Full understanding of dry utilities and infrastructure projects from Concept to IFC stage
+ Strong infrastructure engineering background with previous experience on infrastructure projects Understanding of the requirements for primary substations, HV corridor, Block work distribution substations, pocket substations, feeder pillars and service turrets, MV up to 33kV , LV networks, calculations, report writing skills
+ Telecommunication infrastructure Network Design including ducts, manholes and knowledge of GSM tower coverage requirements
+ Design of Street Lighting for all type of roads, ROW, Lighting Calculations, SLDs, Load schedules, landscape lighting branch wiring etc.,
+ Coordination with all local authorities of Middle East
+ Prepare Clarifications to Contractor RFIs, Review/approve any key technical submittals related to electrical works and dry utilities(if required)
+ Work towards digitalization skills, innovations and improvements to manage workload and accomplish deliverables across individuals, teams and projects
+ Using leadership skills to build and nurture relationships and also creating effective working environments
+ Able to manage multiple teams with diverse backgrounds on geographically and culturally diverse teams
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in dry utilities
+ Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software
+ Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices, particularly in power distribution and telecommunications infrastructure
+ Experience with utility design, coordination, and project management
+ Familiarity with local and international electrical codes and standards, including UAE regulations
+ Understanding of utility company requirements and procedures
+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Position Title: Electrical Design Engineer – Fresher (UAE National)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer (Fresher) to join our Engineering team. This position is part of our UAE National Development Program (Emiratization Initiative) and offers recent graduates an excellent opportunity to begin a career in the Oil & Gas Engineering Consultancy field. The successful candidate will assist senior engineers in developing electrical design deliverables for various onshore and offshore projects, ensuring compliance with international standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of electrical design drawings , layouts, single line diagrams (SLDs), and cable schedules under supervision.

Support in performing power system studies , lighting and earthing design, and equipment selection in accordance with project requirements.

Prepare and update technical documents including equipment datasheets, material take-offs (MTOs), and design reports.

Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams (Mechanical, Instrumentation, Civil, Process) to ensure integrated and optimized design solutions.

Participate in design review meetings , HAZOP sessions, and internal quality checks.

Review vendor drawings and documents to ensure compliance with company and client specifications.

Learn and apply international standards and codes (IEC, IEEE, NEC, ADNOC, DEWA, etc.) in all design activities.

Support site engineers during construction, inspection, or commissioning phases when required.

Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in all design and site-related activities.

Participate in training, mentoring, and development programs designed to enhance professional and technical capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.

0–1 year of experience (fresh graduates encouraged to apply).

Basic understanding of electrical design principles and power systems.

Familiarity with design tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, Dialux, and MS Office .

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Excellent teamwork and willingness to learn in a fast-paced engineering environment.

UAE National (mandatory as per Emiratization framework).

**What you'll do:**
The **Electrical Design Engineer** is responsible for designing, developing and implementing low voltage electrical distribution systems, with a focus around systems engineering, automation and applications across a variety of projects, working in design software and engineering tools to provide optimized and de-risked proposals:
+ Design and develop low voltage electrical systems and components for automation projects.
+ Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications.
+ Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new projects.
+ Select appropriate electrical components and materials for system design.
+ Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues during the development and testing phases.
+ Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
+ Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for all design activities
+ Liaise and support with multiple internal stakeholders inclusive of product line management and front end solutions architects
**Qualifications:**
+ University degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
**Skills:**
+ Proven experience in LV electrical design automation and system based design 5+ years
+ Proficient in using electrical design software, Eplan
+ Data centre project experience is a big advantage
+ Familiar with IEC Standards and regulations
+ Excellent problem solving skills
+ Fluent speaking and writing in English
+ Good communicator and presentation skills
+ Self-motivated and takes ownership on results
+ Works well within a fast-paced environment

**Electrical/Lighting Design Engineer**

This role is primarily to support the design functions on infrastructure and road tunnels for electrical equipment and systems. This role will apply electrical engineering techniques and analyses and the selected candidate will be proficient in electrical engineering designs and standards. You will work with electrical CAD designers to review drawings and provide technical input on drawings and specifications suitable for electrical procurement and system installation.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Prepare electrical engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, designs, specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
+ Prepare detailed requisitions for electrical equipment and related materials as well as review supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses.
+ Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
+ Independently carry out designs of Electrical Power distribution systems and prepare electrical LV Designs, lighting designs for roads, underpass, tunnels using Dialux, Relux softwares.
+ Design of traffic signals
+ Prepare Power cable sizing calculations.
+ Prepare and deliver detailed technical powerpoint presentations for the Clients. Prepare technical design reports.
+ Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related field) from an accredited institution
+ Minimum 5 years experience in electrical design of large infrastructure and road projects
+ Good experience of working with Dialux and Relux software.
+ Basic understanding of the ELV Systems such as CCTV, Access Control and ELV systems.
+ Fully conversant with the CIE 115 , CIE 140 & CIE 88 standards as well as Electricity Authority regulations such as DEWA & SEWA. region.
**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Approval from DM / RTA would be added advantage.
+ Experience in AutoCAD would an advantage.
