Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Electrical Design Engineer** to join our team! In this role you will get to complete a wide variety of engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Perform design/analyses calculations related to electrical works such as low voltage distribution network, medium voltage and high voltage networks, substations, pump stations, water and wastewater treatment plants, industrial plant electrification, standby power systems, AC/ DC power systems protection and controls using governing engineering formulas, standards, skills, and experience.
+ General Arrangements, Layouts and plans. Single line diagrams, protection diagrams, schematic diagrams.
+ Research and prepare design options and documents.
+ Value engineering studies.
+ Review drawings.
+ Extract engineering information from CAD drawings.
+ Prepare engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
+ Frequently interface with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments.
+ Review shop drawings, supplier drawing and technical submittals.
+ Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
+ Perform technical tender analyses and prepares tender evaluation report.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
+ Minimum 4 years of related experience
+ At least 3 years as a Design Engineer with experience in infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi
+ Fluent in International design practices, standards such as IEC, BS, ANSI.
+ Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other engineering design software packages such ETAP, PSS Sincal CYME, PRO design, AGI32, Dialux, AutoCAD 3D, Revit, Navisworks and Civil 3D
+ Worked on projects with local utility companies ADDC, TRANSCO, DEWA, FEWA etc. and well versed with their specifications and systems.
+ Extensive and knowledgeable computer skills .
+ Ability to implement Quality Management System on projects effectively.
+ Good spoken and written English is essential.

**Job Description**
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Assist in the design of dry utility networks, including LV/MV power distribution, street lighting, and telecom systems.
+ Apply design and technical knowledge to contribute to high-quality outputs within project timelines.
+ Perform work following agreed-upon budget and schedule guidelines, under supervision.
+ Collect and analyze information from specific discipline and interdisciplinary project BIM models as needed.
+ Utilize computer software to solve fundamental engineering problems efficiently.
+ Coordinate with Engineers from other disciplines to ensure continuity of the design process.
+ Participate in design progress and coordination meetings to contribute insights and updates.
+ Verify and ensure the quality of model production by BIM/CAD teams, ensuring accuracy to design instructions.
+ Actively seek information and opportunities to contribute, develop efficiencies, and solve problems effectively.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements**
1. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University

**Job Description**
AECOM is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a major Roads and Bridges project located in Dubai. The Electrical Engineer will work under the guidance of the Resident Engineer and Project Manager as part of the construction supervision team for major road, bridge, and infrastructure projects. The role focuses on the supervision and quality assurance of electrical works, including street lighting, power distribution, bridge lighting, and associated control systems. The Electrical Engineer will ensure compliance with authority requirements, project specifications, and relevant international standards while coordinating closely with contractors, designers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, safe, and timely electrical installations.
**Job Duties**
**Construction Supervision & Quality Control**
+ Supervise electrical works for roads, bridges, underpasses, and associated infrastructure including street lighting, feeder pillars, LV cable networks, lighting control systems, and architectural/feature lighting.
+ Ensure installations are executed in compliance with approved designs, specifications, and applicable authority requirements.
+ Develop and implement inspection and test procedures for electrical works in accordance with the project quality plan.
+ Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and ITPs for all electrical components.
+ Witness and verify testing, commissioning, and energization activities for electrical systems.
+ Oversee electrical works integration with bridge structural components, ensuring safety and durability.
**Coordination with Stakeholders & Authorities**
+ Coordinate with **DEWA** for electrical supply connections, inspections, and NOC approvals.
+ Liaise with other authorities, utility providers, and service agencies to ensure timely approvals and resolution of interface issues.
+ Participate in coordination meetings with stakeholders to address service diversions, protection works, and integration with bridge and road works.
**Project Integration & Cross-Discipline Coordination**
+ Work closely with civil, structural, and mechanical teams to ensure smooth integration of electrical works within bridge and infrastructure elements.
+ Ensure proper sequencing of electrical activities in line with structural and civil works schedules.
+ Coordinate with the design office for material reviews, technical queries, and design modifications.
**Technical & Reporting**
+ Maintain updated records of inspections, progress, and test results.
+ Prepare inputs for daily and weekly progress reports highlighting key achievements, delays, and concerns.
+ Support the preparation of punch lists and final handover documentation for electrical systems.
**Leadership & Problem-Solving**
+ Guide and supervise electrical inspectors to ensure consistent quality and compliance.
+ Identify potential issues early and recommend solutions to prevent delays or rework.
+ Promote safety awareness and ensure strict adherence to HSE requirements on site.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Minimum 10 years of experience in the supervision of electrical works for major infrastructure projects including roads and bridges.
+ Proven experience in street lighting, bridge lighting, LV power networks, and associated control systems.
+ Comprehensive knowledge of **DEWA** standards, specifications, and inspection procedures.
+ Experience in coordinating with multiple stakeholders and utility providers for project approvals and inspections.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
+ Strong leadership and team management skills.
+ Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder coordination capabilities.
+ Proficiency in MS Office applications; familiarity with AutoCAD is an advantage.

**Job Description**
The Electrical Inspector will ensure the contractors are compliant with the contract documents, coordinate on a daily basis with the other teams to document and verify the quality and quantity of work performed by the Contractor and process the incoming Inspection Requests and technical submittals, and perform the necessary actions.
**Job Duties**
+ Reading and understanding the package contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures, together with any associated updates.
+ Ensuring the contractor(s) are complying with the standards and specifications of the contract documents through observation, measurements, and testing as well as tracking quality assurance progress.
+ Maintaining records of the contractor manpower and equipment daily resources.
+ Undertaking all site supervision and inspections when required or instructed by the Resident Engineer (RE) or the Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE).
+ Documenting, in the areas assigned to the Inspector, the contractor's personnel and equipment, activities observed, location of activities, reason for activities, and means and methods utilised.
+ Additionally, report on materials delivery and following and implementing any site instructions made by the leader. Apply and implement all quality controls and quality procedures of the site.

+ Effective oral and written communication skills.
+ Competent at writing reports - can present views clearly and concisely in good written English.
+ Detailed knowledge of construction techniques.

**Qualification**
+ For the Inspector position, a Diploma in Engineering is required. For candidates who wish to progress onto Engineer level - a related Degree is required in the Engineering fields.
**Experience**
+ Experience in Electrical related type projects required. Candidates must have experience in Construction Supervision with a Consultancy with a minimum of 7 years of overall experience (minimum 5 years in the UAE)
