We are seeking a seasoned electrical engineer to spearhead the testing and commissioning of transmission substations (132kV, 220kV & 400kV) in the Middle East. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3+ years of relevant industry experience.

Role Overview

• This is a Trainee position in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) that provides an opportunity to develop and apply NDT techniques in the offshore energy industry.

1. Perform various NDT techniques including visual testing, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, penetrant testing, radiographic testing, and eddy current testing on components, pipework, and structural assemblies.
2. Ensure work areas are safe for NDT activities and undertake risk assessments as required.
3. Evaluate results of tests in accordance with applicable specifications and produce clear, concise reports detailing methods used and results.
4. Undertake work in a timely and efficient manner to meet deadlines and changing priorities.
5. Work in accordance with Oceaneering's Health, Safety, Security, Environmental, and Quality Systems.

The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, flexible approach, excellent communication skills, and ability to foster team-oriented mindset.

Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is essential. Valid Full UAE driving license is desired.

This role involves working outdoors and indoors, day and night, over/near water, and near moving equipment. Potential exposure to open fire/flames/sparks, airborne dust, fumes, and gases.

This position requires occasional lifting 20-50 pounds, climbing stairs/ladders, standing, balancing, stooping, squatting, reaching, lifting/carrying objects, twisting body, sitting, head forward/flexed, head tilted/rotated, and operating a motor vehicle.

• Perform tests of weapons submitted in order to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations and support.

• Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Production).
• 3-5 years of experience in weapons test or test lab.
• Experience in formal weapons test programs, understanding of building written testing protocols, and test plans, gathering all and reporting all data delivered for the individual tests.
• Understanding of computer-aided design and metalworking preferred.
• Understands military standard requirements and test protocols.
• Proven ability to gather and analyze information skillfully and generate creative solutions while completing test projects on time and budget.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations (CIP, NATO SAAMI preferred).
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and/or clients.

What you'll be doing:

• Responsible for periodical, predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Increasing efficiency in maintenance processes by applying Kaizen, 5S and other continuous improvement methods
• Developing solutions to optimize energy consumption by making analyzes on energy management and efficiency,
• Keeping track of equipment and spare parts required for maintenance and repair work

**Job Title:** Electrical Supervisor

• Supervise installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems, including: MV/LV Switchgear, Transformers, Motors. Cable laying (power, control, instrumentation) and termination.
• Ensure all works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, HSE and construction teams to resolve site issues promptly.
• Monitor subcontractor manpower, productivity and progress reports.
• Support Electrical Engineers in redline markup preparation, testing protocols and punch list clearance.
• Conduct toolbox talks, ensure PPE compliance and participate in safety walks and audits.

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Experience: Minimum 8 years in electrical site supervision, including 4+ years in Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Certifications: Basic HSE / Permit to Work (PTW) / CompEx / OSHA / NEBOSH (preferred).
• Skills: Strong knowledge of IEC, NEC and client-specific standards. Good ability to read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams, termination details, layouts.

Perform preventive, corrective and troubleshooting maintenance and testing of all electrical equipment’s in the plant to maintain the availability and reliability of the process facilities.

Maintenance
• Isolate and energize Low Voltage LV and High Voltage HV motors, UPS, transformers, generators and Other electrical circuits as per Company’s enabling certificate authorization, which includes carrying out the skilled electrical fault finding, diagnosis and troubleshooting of high and low voltage equipment.
• Accept and complete the Electrical isolation confirmation certificate to ensure completion of activities.
• Identify and obtain spare parts and the necessary tools to meet maintenance requirements.
• Carry out the routine, predictive and preventive maintenance checks on electrical equipment which includes visual inspection, to ensure that the equipment are in the most efficient operating condition.
• Carry out new installations, modification and testing of equipment through various stages as per plan and in line with supervisor’s instructions and checks adherence to all parameters
• Identify areas for improvement in the activities performed and assist the senior section personnel to carry out modifications and improvements to the system.
• Verify completed maintenance activities and complete the maintenance activity sheet / survey to ensure that the job is performed as per requirement.
• Complete necessary records in the system to provide work order failure history reporting. Provide input for the preparation of Method statements and Initiate Near miss reports
