As a key member of our Building Services team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical systems and products that meet our clients' needs and industry standards.

- Professional Engineering (PE) license in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in electrical system design with experience on residential & hospitality projects.
- Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or similar tools
- Familiarity with local electrical codes and regulations in Abu Dhabi and the UAE
- Experience in developing and reviewing technical specifications and construction documents
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional

About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with local and international standards while delivering innovative and efficient solutions. Main Responsibilities- Develop and review electrical system designs, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.

- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations, including local UAE requirements.
- Perform quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings.

Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Designer for our various clients in Abu Dhabi. The position will be based full time at Abu Dhabi office.
Our team provides solutions and expertise to support our growing client base, focused on combining maintenance and operations with asset management, modifications and engineering services across the energy and materials markets.
- Design and develop complex electrical systems to ensure precision, efficiency, and safety in industrial processes.
- Execute design and draughting activities using 3D software skills like SPI, AUTOCAD, MICROSTATION etc.
- Prepare sketches, electrical drawings, and designs from agreed work scopes with minimum input from engineering personnel.
