Job Description

The Position:

  1. To monitor, organise, hygienically clean and personalise the A380 Shower Spas with the objective of ensuring each First Class customer who uses this unique onboard feature is delighted by the experience.
  2. The primary area of responsibility is Shower Spa cleanliness and personalisation; however, maintenance of First, Business and Economy Class lavatories, First and Business Class Lounges and general cabin areas is also a responsibility of this role, all to project a positive company image to our customers.
  3. The role is to clean designated aircraft areas and does not overlap with or replace normal Cabin Crew service duties.
  4. The CSA will report to the Purser, or the SFS, should the Purser be on crew rest or otherwise unavailable.

Job Outline:

  1. Performs inventory control function confirming products are loaded in the correct quantities. This to ensure onboard facilities can be correctly serviced, in-flight replenishments can be made and a wide range of products will be available for customers to select from in using the facilities.
  2. To monitor and check Shower Spa and lavatory cleanliness prior to passenger boarding placing appropriate amenity items to prepare for passenger use.
  3. To promptly and hygienically clean the Shower Spas after every customer use with appropriate cleaning materials, using the CSA Checklist as a guide to meet required standards.
  4. To prepare the Shower Spa for each customer in coordination with cabin crew at the allocated time from the Shower Spa Reservations System, with selected products displayed in the appropriate manner to delight customers who are using the facility.
  5. Has thorough knowledge of the Shower Spa products, service and operation in order to assist cabin crew in introducing the Shower Spa to customers and engage with customers in a confident and friendly manner.
  6. To ensure no customers enter the Shower Spa once it has been personalised for a customer's use and advise Purser if the Reservation System is running behind schedule. This will guarantee success of the Shower Spa Reservation System and maintain Shower Spa cleanliness for all our First Class customers.
  7. To maintain clean and tidy lavatories by routinely completing the CSA Checklist to meet required standards and ensure all amenity items are available.
  8. To create an aesthetically pleasing, clean and safe working environment by conducting cabin tidy duties in all passenger cabins and social areas.
  9. To report any defects to the Purser so they can be rectified as soon as possible. To respect and protect company assets, the safety of colleagues and customers by immediately reporting any discrepancies, strange noises or smells, abnormal customer behavior, suspicious items to the nearest crew member so that this can be fully investigated.
  10. To report for duty on time and ensure conformance to uniform regulations. Respect and obey the chain of command on ground and in-flight and perform duties as directed by the Purser.

Salary & Benefits: We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE. The Dirham is linked to the Special Drawing Right of the International Monetary Fund. It has been held constant against the US dollar since the end of 1980 at a mid-rate of approximately US$1= Dh3.66. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to be qualified to act as Pilot-in-Command on the aircraft type;
  • Minimum 1500 hours as Pilot of multi-pilot aircraft;
  • Hold an ATPL(A);
  • Currently or previously qualified as a Synthetic Flight Instructor, Type Rating Instructor, Synthetic Flight Examiner or Type Rating Examiner;
  • Hold or have held a valid class 1 medical certificate.

Due to the ongoing growth of Emirates Airline, there is a requirement for Ground Instructor/Examiner positions within Flight Training for the A330/340 Fleet.

Successful applicants will join Flight Training as either a Synthetic Flight Instructors (SFI) or a Synthetic Flight Examiners (SFE) and can look forward to a fulfilling and satisfying career within Flight Training. Through professional development and annual standardization courses, you can expect to be trained and developed to ensure you meet the exacting standards required by Emirates.

Reporting to the A330/340 Training Manager (TM-A), the Synthetic Flight Instructor or Synthetic Flight Examiner will be responsible for conducting training and examining relevant to their training qualification as required by the GCAA and the Company.

A. Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI) - Role
As a Synthetic Flight Instructor, you will be responsible for conducting approved simulator training as required by the Company.

Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI) - Key Responsibilities

  1. Conducting Simulator Training;
  2. Conducting Instructor Training;
  3. Conducting Progress Reviews in the simulator when approved by the CT;
  4. Assessing the need for additional or remedial training for any pilot;
  5. Recommending to the CT any changes that may enhance efficiency;
  6. Safety or the quality of training;
  7. Recommending standardised procedures and teaching techniques for all Training Captains, and Flight Crew Technical Instructors to ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures;
  8. Participating in the Pilot Recruitment process as required;
  9. Conducting ground school lectures as required;
  10. Carrying out office duties, projects, course development and other tasks as allocated by the CT.

  1. Hold, or have held, a professional licence acceptable to the GCAA;
