The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of professional experience in airport operations, with a strong understanding of ground handling procedures, industry regulations, and airline SOPs.

dnata Airport Operations' vast ground handling operations successfully service the major global hub at Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport. We deliver a seamless experience from check-in to baggage delivery for more than 80 million passengers and 140 scheduled airlines annually.

As Manager Service Delivery, you will lead and manage dnata's Emirates dedicated airside service delivery team on a 24/7 shift basis, overseeing operations in coordination with dnata Airside Hub Control (AHC) and Emirates Network Control Centre (NCC). In the event of operational disruption at Dubai, works closely with the Manager dnata Operations (MdO) on shift as the senior representation for EK within dnata on day of operations.

This is a full time, permanent position based at Dubai Airport - Terminal 3, working in a 12 hour shift pattern.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Lead 24/7 day-of-operations planning, aligning dnata resources with EK's schedule. Monitors performance and deploys assets efficiently to meet SLA targets while ensuring operational continuity.
  • Oversee EK Terminal 3 activities at the shift level, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost control. Maintains service resilience by adapting to demand fluctuations.
  • Detect performance discrepancies and initiates corrective actions on shifts. Leads recovery efforts during disruptions to uphold and enhance Safe On-Time Performance (SOTP).
  • Analyse service trends, recommends best practices, and drives productivity enhancements. Focuses on improving customer experience and operational efficiency. Contributes to the operational budget planning and champions cost-efficiency initiatives.
  • Manage shift staff in line with dnata guidelines, ensuring training compliance. Fosters a high-performance, well-equipped team culture for sustainable excellence.
  • Promote a safety-first culture through inspections, compliance checks, and emergency responses. Maintains a secure and respectful working environment.
  • Act as the dnata representative in the Disruption Control Centre (DCC) at the NCC in VP Airside Service Delivery absence, maintaining leadership presence and operational oversight. Executes operational decisions while ensuring alignment with EK VP NCC direction. Responds effectively to disruptions and maintains open communication with all stakeholders.

Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • 10+ years professional experience within airport operations, preferably with a major airline or ground-handling company, including at least 5 years in an airside/ground handling role with managerial responsibility.

You'll Have An Edge If You Have:

  • A full driving license (UAE or equivalent).
  • Effective management skills with a proven experience in leading multiple operational teams in a highly demanding 24/7 high pressure operations.
  • Advance understanding of ground handling procedures and industry regulations. Knowledge of airline SOP's, IATA Airport Handling Manual (AHM) and the IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO).
  • Effective interpersonal leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of airport safety, aviation security and emergency response/business continuity plans
  • Understanding of ground support equipment, turnaround management and performance optimisation.
  • Business finance awareness, budget, and cost control knowledge
  • A passion for service excellence and driving results.

  • Optimise manpower and ground equipment for Emirates operations, ensuring effective coverage during peak periods, irregular operations (IROPS) and special events. Contributes to the creation of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key performance indicators (KPIs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process, systems and tools enhancements to improve service delivery.
  • Guide Airside Shift Managers through clear expectations, performance reviews and coaching. Oversees succession planning and continuous team development to enhance long-term capability and operational resilience.
  • Drive a proactive safety-first approach, ensuring operational excellence through structured debriefings and targeted feedback. Encourages continuous improvement and high performance across all shifts.
  • Ensure seamless airside service delivery aligned with Emirates' flight schedule, turnaround priorities and performance targets. Coordinates with the Network Control Centre and airport stakeholders to uphold service standards.
  • Track shift performance against SLAs and KPIs, including on-time performance and resource availability. Conducts post-shift reviews and reporting to drive operational efficiency and accountability. Contributes to the operational budget planning and champions cost-efficiency initiatives.
  • Act as the main escalation point for EK operational issues in ensuring timely resolution and incident response. Assists in managing disruptions while maintaining accurate reporting and adherence to protocols.
  • Conduct inspections to uphold compliance, service standards, and workforce safety. Supports operational adjustments and corrective actions while ensuring alignment with business continuity and security protocols. Reviews and ensures that the BCP (Business Continuity Plan) for T3 and NCC are implemented to protect the operations.

As an Airside Service Delivery Duty Manager, you will drive the seamless execution of dnata Airside Operations at Emirates Terminal 3, delivering 24/7 operational efficiency and safety. Responsibilities include below-the-wing activities, resource coordination, performance oversight and strict compliance with regulatory standards.

This role acts as the key shift liaison for Emirates operations, ensuring service delivery meets defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across Airside Operations and the EK Network Control Centre (NCC).

In This Role, You Will:

  • Evaluate Emirates operating schedule to ensure dnata manpower and Ground Service Equipment (GSE) and aligns with demand, ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met. Forecasts challenges, prioritises resources and contributes to contingency planning for operational resilience.
  • Assess operational trends and escalate opportunities for improvement to respective Line managers to drive improvement and innovation, ensuring regulatory compliance in all planning. Utilises insights to enhance efficiency and mitigate potential risks.
  • Lead airside service teams at EK T3 with clear safety and performance expectations. Promotes a proactive, visible leadership, safety-first approach while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards
  • Act as the primary liaison for dnata-controlled operations, ensuring seamless coordination. Provides frontline leadership during emergencies, enabling swift response and minimising disruption.
  • Oversee airside operations with a focus on compliance and service excellence. Oversees the allocation of resources for safe aircraft movement and ensures manpower providers meet safety and performance standards.
  • Track key performance Indicators (KPIs) like on-time performance, baggage handling, and delay management. Uses data insights to drive accountability, support decisions, and maintain service reliability.
  • Contribute to operational budgets while supporting cost-efficiency initiatives. Validates shift reports and creates a management summary indicating performance trends and recommendations for ongoing enhancements.

Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • 8+ years professional experience within airport operations, preferably with a major airline or ground-handling company in an operational 24/7 shift environment, managing large teams.

You'll Have An Edge If You Have:

  • A full driving license (UAE or equivalent).
  • Ability to lead large operational teams on a 24/7 operations (applicable to airside).
  • Sound understanding of load control and resource allocation (applicable to NCC).
  • Understanding of airline processes and Control Centre Operations.
  • Sound knowledge of all ground handling operations, its procedures, processes, and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability at problem solving and decision making in a pressurised environment.
  • Knowledge of airport safety and security.

  • Act as the primary liaison for dnata-controlled operations, ensuring seamless coordination. Provides frontline leadership during emergencies, enabling swift response and minimising disruption.
  • Oversee airside operations with a focus on compliance and service excellence. Oversees the allocation of resources for safe aircraft movement and ensures manpower providers meet safety and performance standards.
  • Track key performance Indicators (KPIs) like on-time performance, baggage handling, and delay management. Uses data insights to drive accountability, support decisions, and maintain service reliability.
  • Contribute to operational budgets while supporting cost-efficiency initiatives. Validates shift reports and creates a management summary indicating performance trends and recommendations for ongoing enhancements.

Qualification

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • 8+ years professional experience within airport operations, preferably with a major airline or ground-handling company in an operational 24/7 shift environment, managing large teams.

You’ll Have An Edge If You Have:

  • A full driving license (UAE or equivalent).
  • Ability to lead large operational teams on a 24/7 operations (applicable to airside).
  • Sound understanding of load control and resource allocation (applicable to NCC).
  • Understanding of airline processes and Control Centre Operations.
  • Sound knowledge of all ground handling operations, its procedures, processes, and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability at problem solving and decision making in a pressurised environment.

Job Description

As the Mechanical Engineer ,you will be responsible for mechanical engineering services including complete design assistance, inspections, determination of HVAC loads, pump sizing/selection, equipment selection, duct sizing and routing, interior plumbing design and fire protection systems. You will work with a team of technicians, engineers, drafters, and surveyors to ensure customer satisfaction and timely project completion.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Must be capable of providing mechanical design service, including determination of HVAC loads, equipment selection, duct sizing and routing, interior plumbing design, and exterior plumbing design.
  • Perform all aspects of engineering analysis and design for projects from concept stages through final design and construction management including knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards.
  • Review and analyze preliminary, interim, find project plans and specifications for technical efficiency and adequacy.

  • Review and provide general monitoring on Host Nation funded project development work for new construction, renovation, and improvement projects for real property facilities.
  • Interpret methods and approaches in developing project calculations, layouts, drawings, and specifications that support project objectives and standards.
  • Review and provide general monitoring on conceptual studies and sketches that indicate pertinent project features, material, equipment, and specifications.
  • Monitor all project phases with appropriate managers and staff elements and shall maintain current engineering data for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate projects with AFCENT TSG for engineers in other disciplines, operations personnel (e.g., Electric, Power Production, HVAC, Structures, Pavements and Equipment, and Utilities shops) and other U.S. Government entities to include Wing Safety, Force Protection, Security Forces, Communications, Fire Department, and Medical Group to verify safety, constructability, operability, maintainability, and all project considerations have been addressed.
  • Monitor and report on assigned projects and review specifications and schedules.
  • Verify construction for design compliance and assist with resolution of differences between the U.S. and Host Nation building code.
  • Efficiently use computers/computer software including Microsoft Office, computer aided design and drafting (CADD) programs (AutoCAD), and project tracking programs (Microsoft Project), GIS, and other engineering calculation software packages to solve engineering problems and facilitate work as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 4 years of experience.
  • Experience providing designs, preparing drawings using AutoCAD 2012 or later.
  • A licensed Mechanical Engineer preferred.
  • Must be capable of traveling between ADAB TSG and AUAB TSG sites, as required, up to 4 times per year (4 working days, two travel days) to backfill and attend meetings.

LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Licensed Mechanical Engineer (preferred).

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Solid technical background, good organizational skills, attention to detail, quality control, client interaction and representation.
  • Strong and communication skills - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with the engineering team members to and manage multiple priorities and multiple tasks simultaneously.
