The Director of Maintenance and Engineering leads the strategic and operational oversight of the Engineering & Maintenance departments within Keolis MHI. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic

• Develop and refine overarching strategies that guide the engineering and maintenance departments.
• Champion innovative technologies and process improvements to enhance asset life and reduce lifecycle costs.

• Champion business continuity and enterprise risk management initiatives.

Financial

• Optimize maintenance regimes to reduce costs where applicable.
• Implement actions to manage financial risks and capitalize on opportunities.

Stakeholder / Customer

• Ensure alignment with Operations department on broader corporate objectives and facilitate integration across all functions.
• Serve as the primary executive contact for government contracts, regulatory agencies, and major suppliers or contractors.
• Ensure contractual obligations are met and relationships are managed to foster mutual benefits.
• Collaborate with RTA to implement system enhancements.

Operational

• Ensure maintenance KPIs for response times, repair times, and CFA availability are consistently achieved.
• Oversee comprehensive maintenance programs for all rolling stock and infrastructure to maximize asset lifespan and reliability.
• Implement improvements to reduce disruptions and enhance network resilience.
• Develop data-driven strategies to improve maintenance efficiency.
• Utilize digital tools and data analytics to monitor and enhance performance based on contractual and leading indicators.
• Develop detailed maintenance business strategies, including mileage management, alternate supplier development, and overhaul optimizations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Engineering graduate in Electrical, Civil, Electronics & Communications, Transportation/Automobile, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
• Bachelor's in engineering (B.Tech / BE).
• Master's degree in engineering (M.E. / M.Tech) preferred.

Experience

• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role such as Director or Deputy Director overseeing operations or maintenance within the public transport or rail industry, preferably in mass rapid transit or high-speed railways.
• Knowledge of rail system engineering and maintenance or busy mass rapid operations.

Skills / Training

• Fluent in English.
• Knowledge of Arabic or French is an advantage.

building grounds and physical plant with particular attention
towards safety security and asset protection. Accountable for
managing the budget capital expenditure projects preventative
maintenance and energy conservation. Responsible for maintaining

team for all facility
