Job Objective:
- Responsible for the execution of the engineering portion of a multi-discipline engineering scope of work on one or more projects/work scopes. Has responsibility for coordinating and completing the various engineering, and start-up aspects of a project(s) while meeting HSSE, quality, schedule, and budget performance goals. Has responsibility for the technical excellence of the engineering portion of a project(s) across all disciplines.

- Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate across the business interfaces.
- Engage with business / functional community and promote the function including; networking/knowledge sharing
- Interactions with Heads of Disciplines, Heads of Engineering to ensure resourcing of competent personnel
External:
- Communicate and cooperate with external stakeholders including industry bodies, academia, vendors, client interface (as appropriate and requested), market intelligence, relevant conferences, and business development.

- Actions and decisions typically influence the long-term profitability, operating and technical results of the business group or function

As Engineering Manager, I will support the Director of Engineering for the efficient operation of the Engineering department including landscape and gardening, plant and equipment, technical work, carpentry, sustainability, fire and safety systems and a preventative maintenance program to provide exceptional products and services within brand operating standards.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, in either Mechanical or Electrical disciplines, and more than five years' experience in a similar hotel engineering role, preferred.
Professional certification and license if required by law.
Specialized expertise in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry fields. Level 3 EPA Certification, HVAC and refrigeration certificate, licensed plumber and/or journeyman status for electrician and carpenter may be required
Fluent in English; I understand that additional languages are preferred.

**Qualifications:**

- Proven success at delivering NPI and VAVE projects - understanding project management tools and methodologies.

My scope of work includes:

+ Assist on managing the day-to-day operations' logistical management, maintenance, and repair of all Fire Life Safety systems.
+ Assist on managing the day-to-day operations of the property's energy conservation management and a shared responsibility and technical support for sustainability projects.
+ Logistical management of all outside vendors to complete FLS PM and servicing of equipment.
+ Management and completion of record keeping and documentation and reports as specified by Six Senses brand guidelines.
+ Assisting in completion guest requests and support all operational departments when and as required and instructed by the DOE.
+ First responder to all Life/Fire safety issues as well as occasional risk /loss activities.
+ Coordinate all energy conservation activities on property, coordinates the audits for energy conservation committee and health and safety for the property.
+ Ownership and coordination oversight of all Health and safety issues relating to the property.
+ Ensure the product remains in optimal order and in keeping with Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices.
+ Prepare and submit legally required and confidential documentation related to the operation.
+ I will support the Engineering Manager on the management and development of all hosts within the departments.
Qualifications
To execute the position of Assistant Engineering Manager, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:
+ Possess some college or advanced vocational training and four years of experience in general building maintenance and/or construction and supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, in either Mechanical or Electrical disciplines, and more than five years' experience in a similar hotel engineering role, preferred.
+ Professional certification and license if required by law.
+ Specialized expertise in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry fields. Level 3 EPA Certification, HVAC and refrigeration certificate, licensed plumber and/or journeyman status for electrician and carpenter may be required
+ Fluent in English; I understand that additional languages are preferred.
