He / She is responsible for solving a range of straightforward field / yard related issues and analyzing possible solutions using the company's standard procedures and processes. **Key Tasks and Responsibilities**
+ Ensure that all work is carried out safely in compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, & Environment policies and procedures.
+ Readiness to travel offshore for job execution, including willingness to be at onshore site as required.
+ Recommend changes in the technical details and drawings where these may result in safe operations and clarity on information in the installation procedures.
+ Develop the vessel layout and barge loadout plans for the transportation of materials, equipment and structures to offshore to facilitate safe and timely installation,
+ Actively participate in project Constructability sessions, Readiness reviews, Hazard Identification studies or Job Safety Analysis as applicable and communicate to implement the recommendations.
+ Review and retain project drawings and documents, report the discrepancies, errors and omissions concerning the information required to perform the work.
+ Ensure the work is within the capabilities of the proposed equipment.
+ Prepare offshore installation procedures as per the Company Procedures and Processes. As a minimum, the procedure(s) will outline the following:
+ Methods, techniques, and practices to be used to perform work
+ The sequences to be used to perform work
+ Installation aids, temporary works, and consumables required to perform the work
+ Prepare material list covering the construction materials and project consumables and liaise with the project coordinator for the procurement.
+ Issue "Loadout Lists" applicable to the work based on the recommended practice.
+ Coordinate with Marine, E&M, Welding, Quality, HSES, Survey & ROV, Diving Departments and Subcontractors as per offshore scope execution requirements to ensure that necessary equipment and personnel are available and ready to be deployed for the project.
+ Witness/inspect pre-rigging, loadouts, and sea fastening, and acknowledge the receipt of fabricated structures, line pipes, and other materials to be installed offshore. Developing checklists and inspecting loadouts as per Company Procedures.
+ Coordinate with the Production Engineers and verify loadouts of fabricated items for the project.
+ Coordinate with the logistics team for inputs on materials, structures, equipment loaded out for cargo movements from one location to another either by ship / barge / trucks, etc.
+ Liaise with the customer representative and various subcontractor representatives at the offshore site and with the Operations Engineer.
+ Monitor the progress of the work and site conditions and advise the Operations Engineer of any development that may result in changes to the project and schedule and/or execution sequence.
+ Conduct work scope presentations to offshore key personnel explaining the planning and execution of work including contractual and technical aspects of the work. Issuing field sketches, data sheets, and checklists in the field as required for information purposes to the offshore personnel.
+ Participate in the resolution of any technical problems arising during offshore installation and assist in the formulation of corrective action requirements.
+ Prepare Post Job completion Reports as per Company Procedures.
+ Prepare/collate as-built documentation and records as required by contract requirements and approved project scope of work.
**Essential Qualifications and Education**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
+ 3-5 years of offshore installation experience.
+ Knowledge in Auto CAD or similar tools.
+ Adequate knowledge of design and offshore project execution.
+ Basic knowledge in Microsoft tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. and any 3D software experience.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
+ Willingness to travel to different job sites and work in various environmental conditions as required.

- Coordinate with Construction Support Engineering to prepare the technical drawings for bid submittals
- Prepare written procedures on safe work methods which meet project requirements for inclusion in the technical bid submission
- Review the proposal document and identify the work to be subcontracted if any
- Prepare technical description and bid pricing structure for the subcontracted work based on schedule and Company specification. This is to be performed in coordination with the Subcontracts Administrator and Proposal Coordinator who assemble the commercial portions of the quotation. Typical subcontracts the Offshore Coordinator will be responsible for are:
o Survey
o Dredging / Trenching
o Pipe haul barges
o Near shore crossing
o Pipeline pre-commissioning
- Review engineering-related information to ensure that comprehensive and accurate data is included in bidding proposals.
- Provide response to technical clarifications from the tendering Subcontractors if any
- Prepare Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) to finalize the installation vessels required for job execution
- Evaluate subcontract qualifications and make recommendations to the Proposals Coordinator for a lump sum and miscellaneous costs
- Review subcontract qualifications to incorporate into principal qualifications to the company
- Provide tender resource and scheduling information to the Administration and Planning group for financial forecasting purposes
- Coordinate with other functions in the Company in the preparation of the tender
- Review Engineering studies conducted for the tender with regards to the Offshore Operation
- Prepare bid summary book for all offshore input for major proposals
- Prepare Dive Task Plan for diving related jobs.
**Essential Qualifications and Education:**
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 7 - 9 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with Major Contractors or consultant
- At least 2-3 years of Operations and field Engineering experience
- Thorough knowledge of excel spreadsheet with Macro commands
- MS Project scheduling software
- Familiar with Subcontract activities
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft tools like Word, excel, PowerPoint etc.
- Knowledge in Auto CAD

Job Description
Senior Field Engineer applies Engineering practices and knowledge to improve the field engineering discipline within Mcdermott. Acting as a lead engineer offshore and share the conceptual and practical expertise related to the field engineering discipline. Provide solutions and prepares mitigation plan to resolve complex problems and applies their discipline specific knowledge to improve the process and services. Senior Field Engineer plays a pivotal role with customers, client, project or service activities with the team assigned, being within the specifications, standards as applicable for the client side and follow Mcdermott guideline and policies.
**Key Tasks and Responsibilities:**
- Review all technical project documents upon contract award and identify any differences or discrepancies between pre-contract and post-contract documents, as well as deficiencies in tender method statements.
- Attend bid interviews with local Management and participate in global management reviews
- Ensure all bid inputs have been reviewed and approved by the Division Manager and General Superintendent before submittal. The Diving Manager is to review and approve all diving estimates.
- Prepare technical clarifications/qualifications about the scope of work, drawings, and specifications and submit them to the Proposal Coordinator
- Develop a plan and allocate resources for the project to ensure that engineering deliverables are completed according to the agreed-upon schedule.
- Monitor the progress of the project section to prevent major issues or delays from occurring during the project.
- Take the lead in creating installation documentation, procurement, and fabrication materials (such as scopes of work, procedures, drawings, sketches, etc.).
- Ensure the accuracy of procurement, fabrication, and installation documentation, making sure they comply with the contract requirements.
- Coordinate with other departments within the project team to ensure smooth operations.
- Offer support on engineering-related matters to the Project/Procurement Subcontracting Department, ensuring that competent suppliers or service providers are chosen for the job.
- Determine the sequence of work to be performed
- Determine the equipment to perform the work based on availability, tender requirements, and management bid philosophy
- Determine the crew make-up required for each phase of the project. Update and circulate crew make-ups as required.
- Determine the duration of work, using historical records for similar jobs where applicable
- Prepare a bar chart schedule for the marine work including vessel modifications and other preparatory work
- Prepare miscellaneous costs for offshore work. This will include barge rig-ups / designs, port clearances, and project consumables. The offshore miscellaneous costs will include inputs from Diving, E&M, Safety, etc. and identify all other costs for the compliance with tender documents
