As a Back Office Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting distributors and direct customers in preparing quotations for complex products and applications. You will negotiate tier 1 project orders and coordinate with the sales support team in Europe.

You will also prepare tenders and offers technically and commercially in close cooperation with outdoor sales engineers, authorized dealers, and customers, mainly in the Gulf region. Additionally, you will work closely with designers on complex municipal projects to support their work and specify Sulzer products where possible. Your responsibilities will include managing technical and commercial negotiations with customers to maximize order conversion, respecting the delegation of authority (D.O.A.) in collaboration with support functions.

You will maintain proper reporting with supervisors and utilize company tools (Quotation Tool, CRM, SAP, etc.) following WIBUs and company guidelines. You will clarify demanding technical questions and maintain regular contact with customers mainly by phone or email.

Other key responsibilities include handling and processing projects and orders in SAP, from quotation elaboration, deadline tracking, coordination, monitoring, to invoicing. You will maintain regular contact with Sulzer Water & Industry BU factories and ensure compliance with regulations and end-user specifications.

Key Qualifications:

• Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering;
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a sales support application engineer or tendering engineer in multinational companies, mainly in wastewater and water treatment equipment manufacturing. Knowledge in chemical, food, fertilizers, and PPI is an advantage;
• Experience in wastewater and water treatment;
• Arabic language skills (preferable);
• Strong commercial, time management, and result-oriented skills; excellent relational and negotiating skills; good knowledge of main computer tools; ability to work in a team, including remotely.
